Ammo Finds - Post them here

I have a feeling Mizouse is going to either get a new shipment for free or a store credit for the amount.

They responded, unable to exchange since its out of stock. They're asking how much of the ammo itself is damaged and will try to work something out.

It's about 25rds that have dents in them. Hardly worth pursing anything. I'll just mention that and see how it goes.

I do like reusing the cases for bulk 22 thou.

That's why I didn't "subscribe" to this thread.

Besides being a truck driver and checking my phone every 30 seconds would probably get me a big ticket and not much ammo or anything else after I paid it off.

I agree with you that shipping is very high on just one brick of ammo and it’s not a deal. But there are ways around that. You can't let yourself get fixated on the shipping charge either.
OMG Cabelas is super OMG $5 shipping and Midway sux shipping is $16.

Example the ever popular CCI Minimag 40gr CPRN. Here’s the math for an order of 5 (Midway’s max limit used- Shipping is to my doorstep YMMV)

Store –-> Price/100*5 + Shipping etc = Total
Cabelas --> $8.99*5 + $5 Shipping = $49.95
Gander --> $7.49*5 + at least $7 Shipping + $9 ammo surcharge = $53.45
Midway --> $6.69*5 + 16 shipping = $49.45

Price per round is better as max limits go up.

No one is making any money pimping out Midway, Cabelas, or any other company here, just sharing finds. Everyone has their own comfort level and goals here on buying. So everyone do whats best for you.

Of the three major vendors listed above with pretty much similar pricing per round, my personal preference definitely goes to Cabelas because they do one helluva good packing job on that ammo.

Midway is so-so at best and Gander ""lemme toss the ammo order into the shipping box that's 2 times too big with a plastic band around the ammo boxes and crumple up 2 sheets of packing paper with that" Mountain out right sucks!

BUUUUT - if the price is available at my set price point (regardless of which vendor), I'd just rebox all the loose ammo at my leisure!!

Actually of the three, gander has the best overall shipping IF you order more than $50. Free shipping, and if you order more than one type of ammo, the $9 surcharge is spread out over more ammo.
This makes them a better option for shipping anyway...Packaging, NOW THATS SOMETHING ELSE
