There is a private version of this forum in the contributor's lounge but it never really gained traction. We could give it another try but that would require those who are interested to give a little to CGN.

I actually think that's a pretty fair trade to ask of folks.

I already have a secret group on FB where there are 14 of us who worked on these links. They have known since lastnight and we just needed to test them.

How does GunBot get their links? I had assumed they had a bot that was scanning continuously. In the past, they were very slow to list new links, but today it was like they were camping on this forum.

I think their bot makes it rounds say every 30 minutes and today the timing was right...GB was just passing by as scheduled.

I agree, a donation to CGF would be good for those who are unable to contribute with fast info.

I don't think there is any real problem---When a wish list item lights up and someone posts it---And then someone makes up an accessible link---By the time that link goes oos will be very brief---So usually a small window of time---You will always have lurkers from other sites and if you go into hiding they will be right there with you---The thread is to help CG's find ammo and thanks to the efforts of bunch of you we have all been blessed---The links are no good after oos---But there is no harm in deleting them either---I'm kind of dependent on the wl now as my normal links don't seem to work even when an item is openly in stock??

First of all, the time wasted between sending a PM, the receiver going to check for it (which those of us on mobile browsers or using Tapatalk will not be alerted to do), and then checking for the PM response will all but guarantee will will be too late to the party. Our current system is fine. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but that is part of the game. If you don't like it, don't play- just buy from someone who is wasting hours of time doing what it takes to find ammo. But, if you hang out here often enough and play nice, I guarantee you will get ammo.

Remember we have been here before... When yankee originally found and joined the facebook group that was taking and posting our direct links. Was it about a month ago? Anyway, since then two other threads have emerged but just have not blossomed with activity the way this one does. I have to agree with Rawk, I just don't see an efficient way of passing links privately. There is still a limited time window before the C's main site gets updated and shows in stock. Maybe we can do the "attachment" thing mentioned earlier... That way you can only view it if you are a member and signed in right?


Edit: I tried attaching a link but will only work with specific files. We could do a txt file but it's a lot of extra work...
