Fair is fair, I pay takes on earned income, those in business for profit pay sales tax on those profits, I see no reason the flippers should be exempt since their ultimate goal is profit, I couldn't justify it on 22 but if it was a caliber I could claim on taxes for myself or my girlfriend as duty/training ammo I'd sure not have a problem letting tax man know and make damn sure I had receipt

Nowhere near as ridiculous as the claims of "gouging" based on what the bidders CHOSE to pay at auction. And why does everyone assume people who sell at auction, gunbroker, etc aren't paying taxes? I resell items at numerous venues for my (meager) living, and I pay taxes on every dime. (Don't get all excited, I'm not selling ammo.)
