Be careful when in a rush at night ordering from Gander---If you need to cancel an order, (hit the wrong product button)---Can't call them as they are closed and don't receive phone calls til 8:00am next day and will tell you it's too late it's been shipped---Only thing they can/will to do is charge you $10 and have FedX re-route it back to the warehouse---------Anyone want 500rds of Velocitor----At .16pr---Yike

They are actually better rounds than the mini-mags. I purposefully bought some. I will gladly buy them off of you, PM me if it's not too late.

Also 10 mini-mags from GM arrived as I'm typing this out. I need a better way to store ammo or just stop buying ammo I don't need... Ugh...

Had two blind lucky finds in the last few weeks. One was a guy who came into my work. I mentioned something about selling at the gun show, and he asked if I buy ammunition. I said what have you got. He shows up a few hours later with 2 bricks of .22lr Thunderbolt, some Mini Mags, some .38 Spl, and about 100 rounds of .380. Got it all for $30. Sold the .380, the older Mini Mags, and and old box of Golden Bullets to a guy I met for $45 and walked away getting paid for about 2 1/3 bricks.

Then last week I had a Dr.'s appoint that was across the street from the local Wal Mart. I went in for steel case .223 which they did not have. But the stocking crew had gone home sick the night before. This meant that the morning guy had just brought out the cart at 9 when I walked in. He did not know what he had on it, so I dug around with him and found a box of 10 333 Winchester .22's. Got my three boxes and left happy having gotten blind lucky again.

The ammo gods have smiled upon me lately. My buddy found me 150 rounds of non corrosive M2 Ball AP at the swap meet in there too.

I just got a shipment of CCI Green Tag Comp. It was more of an impulse buy. I've never used it before but the comments I've read, said it was good stuff.

The Cabelas links worked for me at a few weeks ago but have stopped working. Any suggestions on why they may have stopped? I tried the links on multiple browsers too and same issue.

The Velocitors have always been in 50-round sliders. And they've always been in the $7.99 range. They are a better round than Stingers which regularly sell for $10-15/box.

They're plated, but it's not copper. It's some kind of light golden stuff that flakes off a little too much for my liking. I think it's brass plating

I always thought it was fairy dust...

Seriously though, it seems more like a cheap paint job the way it flakes so easily.

Keep in mind also on the Velocitors, you pay $79 delivered for the case of them and you sell the 10 empty cases on eBay for $20-25 net after fees/shipping. That brings the cost-per-round to a much more palatable level.

FWIW...Looks like my orders shipped from last night's Gander ammopalooza EXCEPT for the bucket. I haven't received notification one way or the other about the buckets.

On a side note, At 10:45 this morning I filled my car with gas in Huntington Beach. I was heading back to L.A. and pulling out of Shell I saw a nearby Dick's Sporting Goods. I stopped in as I need Ballistol. Asked the guy, he said they don't carry it. I then asked him if he has any 22 ammo in stock. He said they received ammo this morning and he'd take a look.

He reached inside a storage cage (the ones usually that come directly off a truck) and yanked out two boaxes. Inside these boxes were 10 sleeves of CCI (Velocitors), 5 sleeves of Winchester SuperX, five 525 Remington bricks and one Winchester M22 mega-brick. I took the M22s ($57.99 + tax) and while checking out, I mentioned to him I would have expected the ammo to be gone 10 minutes after they opened. He responded by saying they usually have 2 or 3 people waiting before the doors open but nobody came today.

Ya'll need to walk into your local sporting goods store (and this applies to Walmart) no matter the time of day and see if they have any ammo in stock. Don't think you're s.o.l if you're not buying early in the morning. For 22s to be available 1 hour and 45 minutes AFTER they opened is astonishing!

My two M-22 bricks from yesterday shipped this afternoon. I was kinda hoping they'd catch me double dipping and cancel them both, since I really don't care for M-22. I just needed to placate my desire to find and order .22 LR Ammunition.

Oh well, another 2,000 rounds of rifle Ammunition won't hurt. I guess I'll file them with the CCI Tac and CCI Stingers.
