When it comes back in stock, it will have two options. The one that is in stock is the magnums. I think whoever is the web developer for cabelas is fiddling with inventory, but it hasn't been listed in the "rimfire" category yet, which is something they do manually once the inventory is put it. This is why everyone is buying it when it comes in stock but before it is listed on the main website.Comment

I am a BRAND SPANKING NEW member, but have been following the thread for about a month now. I want to encourage all of the FNG's like myself, the info is out there. Spend a little time reading some of the 395 page thread, and a little less time complaining that people aren't spoon feeding you. I have managed to figure out how to make my own cart links, without any help, by just reading the thread. You can too!!!Comment

Yes, this thread we are in now ANYone can read on the internet. However, if we moved the thread to the off topic forum on this site, then you can't search it via google, and you can't even see it unless you are logged in. This would have the benefit of only helping calgunners. of course, anyone can sign up, but they wouldn't even know that they need to sign up if they couldn't even see or search for this thread in the first place.
Meanwhile, let this thread die, or delete it altogether. Now the problem is solved for outsiders lurking and stealing the links. Everyone wants to be so tight lipped about the links because the facebookers ruined it. We got newbs hating newer newbs for asking "where the links at?"

Got it. It would be harder for any more newbies to come in without joining. Those of us who made a lot of these Cabela links, starting back in December have just about decided not to post the links any more as we feel they are really being abused. I have visited this forum for over two years, getting mostly material on Gander, but never bothered to join as we were happy where we were. Well, that changed back in November so we came here and brought a good bit of the Cabelas info with us as some of us have been "working" on/with Cabelas for over two years. There never was much info on Cabelas til we came here. Not that it matters that much now, as there are so many links around, esp on other forums.
Your idea sound fine, but I don't think it will help all that much. It's very simple to join and the word of mouth grapevine for 22lr is HUGE.Actually Sue's Husband

I agree, and no one actually told me how to do anything. I learned and then even figured out more than some know.
But most important is what happened Monday. Those people didn't tell a friend, they told untold thousands of people and screwed everyone...

You hit the nail on the head. Yes, sometimes getting in on some ammo is as easy as following a link or using a pre-populated shopping cart. Lots of times it is not.
It's pretty much a truism that the easier something is, the more people are going to do it. That happened with the Cabelas links to some extent.
The real value of this thread cones from doing exactly what you described: taking a few hours to read hundreds of posts across scores of pages so that you can glean some of the wisdom that's here (along with a lot of funny stuff too) and use it to refine your own search that is often a lot more effective than simply following the herd and clicking on the link du jour.

I guess my larger point is that many one hit wonders won't take the time to do that and, thus, will be missing out on the true value of this thread ... both from an ammo finding perspective as well as an entertainment one.
