I think the choice of optics or irons is a personal one. My eyesight sucks so I need optics. But the whole reason for buying the Marlin was fun, cheap shooting so I picked up a used Simmons 3-9x40 for about $20 on fleabay & it works for me out to 100 yds.

Before you dump the Barska, try it out at 100yds first. Ya never know, it just might work fine.

Anybody have a Boyds hunter stock? I ordered one and it should be here on Friday. I wish I had seen the tacticool stock when they had a run of them.

Hint: the 7 rounders are easier to find as everyone wants the 10 rounders. I understand it's 7 and not 10, but 7 is better than none IMO. I recently found six 7-round mags for ~$13 each shipped to my door.

Zero fitment issues and it gives it a better weight balance. This color is "pepper".

Does this rebuild kit block them to 10 rounds for legality?
