I bet you could cut a section of pool noodles and put it under the stock pack, the adjustable straps should be long enough to allow it.
But it looks like she needs a pretty high pad.

Ever think about not using the rail adapter?
That would lower the scope and probably make things more in-line...
The UTG integral scope rings work really good..
I'm going to build a DIY version of this.

After I posted that picture, I got super motivated and did it. I'll post pics and explanation once they get uploaded.

Ok, NOW it's done. My DIY adjustable cheek riser. Still gotta shorten the bolts. The build thread link and a couple pics.

Switched to my new Boydstock Nutmeg Varmit Thumb-hole. Amazingly easy. Literally took me longer to find the hex key than to do the switch.

              Looks great!

Glad Boyds finally came around and make a drop in stock for the 795.
The in-letting wasn't too hard to do on the earlier ones but still I'm sure it kept a lot of people from buying them.

                  barrel lead fouled

Hi everyone! Has anyone else had problems with the 795 barrel getting so lead fouled about 1.5 inches up from throat that you could not put a bore snake or otis cable down barrel? I shot 400 rounds of a different ammo. (Winchester bulk, Remington golden bullet, and CCI mini mags. I clean rifle after each range day but sometimes a couple days after. What caused the leading since all ammo is plated? Here is a picture of what came out. It's just over half inch long and came out in one piece. Thanks!

IMO plated bullets offer less protection then the often miss-called "bare lead" wax coated bullets.

The plating or wash is very thin and IMO mostly for looks. Where wax, talo coated bullets offer a thicker layer of protection.

I have never had this issue myself, all I run is CCI Blazer 525 Value paks.

I do remember someone else posting a photo like this is the 1st 795 thread. Might want to go thru it and look (lots of pages to sort thru)

I would would check the barrel for bulges on the outside.
It's possible that you had a squib and then dislodged it with the next bullet but in doing so bulged the barrel, giving the lead a place to attach.

Looks like it is mostly powder

Hey everybody, I just jailed a 795 and have a few questions. First off, do overall length laws apply to rimfires: such as can I use a folding stock without having to extend the barrel? Second, is there any source for parts kits for the new pro-mag 25 rounders? Third, how difficult is it to modify a 10/22 stock to fit a 795?

1 Federal Length Limits apply as they are the same as CA for non-AW's 16 inch barrel 26 inch overall all. Where this changes is CA measures from the most compact fireable configuration.
2 Not that I know of.
3 Not easy but I have heard it was done, but no tips given on how to do so.

Boyds makes drop in stocks now...

Took my pair of new(ish) 795's out to an Appleseed today with my son. My rifle performed flawlessly with Federal bulk but his had lots of feeding issues. I suspect user error in part but I'll do a real good cleaning tonight and hopefully get better performance tomorrow. I like these little rifles, but they are *little* - I'm 6' and had a hard time getting into some of the positions comfortably.

Now on to the real question: I only have one mag per rifle and I REALLY need two more to shoot the AQT properly. Does anybody know where I can get two TONIGHT? I am in OC but can travel some if necessary. I've been checking retail stores for weeks.
