So I plan on getting one of the LW-15 AR lowers and putting a CMMG 22LR upper on top. I wanted to know who has done it and what the results were. I am also interested in other 22LR upper makers like Chippa (spelling), spikes, etc.... Thanks

i plan on doing so
and havent really found anything other than the cmmg upper yet
still looking -
That's how I built my AR22, I used a Plumcrazy lower with a Tactical solutions LT upper and a Simmons 4 x 32 scope, the whole thing weights only 5 pounds 4 ounces.
Here is how it looks!

I just bought a New Frontier Armory LW complete lower with this as its intended purpose. I have been looking at Spikes uppers so far but nothing set in stone yet.
The guy at RifleGear told me that I don't need a bullet button if I am using it as a rimfire. I am always skeptical about the information that shops give me so does anyone know if this is true or where I could find some literature on it?Comment

I did a LW15 + Tactical solutions LT upper
picked up a $30 red dot @ big 5 that sort of works...

Read question number six for your answer.Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

LW-15 looks like a exact copy of
PCF...
If it is.
I recommend getting a blowback hammer for it and JP yellow springs.
Just the hammer spring.

Not sure what you mean
I didn't say cmmg doesn't offer anything, I said I plan on 22 upper
To be more clear I guess. I am looking at getting cmmg as I haven't found anything else that I want
But since them, a couple have been mentioned, each deserving consideration. Still undecided myself
I wonder if anyone would do a group buy for 22 upper with bcg and magsComment

I've been planning to do this the last few days, interesting to see there was already a thread on it.
I have a short CMMG .22 upper planned (if the ATF ever gets around to my paperwork
). But I want a home for it when my AR-15 is in centerfire mode. When I saw how inexpensive the New Frontier polymer lowers were I thought "Bam... dedicated .22LR pistol lower to go with the .22LR SBR upper." I think it will work nicely for that.
There is a thread currently in the Centerfire Rifles forum about a few issues with the New Frontier lowers, but from the flow of the thread it seems they were/are quickly resolved and that New Frontier is very helpful to work with.Comment

I think that Dave only said something because he's tried a good number of available options...Not sure what you mean

I just put together a new frontier lower and a tactical solution 22 upper.
\
mine upper had the standard gas block front sights but no rear sights. I put a truglo red dot reflex sight on it and took it to the range. I went through 250 rounds of 22 in about an hour or so. I LOVE IT. tons of fun and super economical. the way I figure it, Big 5 sells 50 rounds of 223 for about 22 bucks. My trip today would have cost me $100 bucks in ammo. I paid $600 for the Tac Sol upper and at this rate, I just need to go to the range about 5 more times and I will have paid for the upper just in ammo savings.
I used Winchester match grade lead ball ammo. I got some problems with some of the rounds not ejecting right. It would get hung up in the BCG. Out of 375 rounds I had thig happen about 20 times. The worst jam was when the brass would get lodged between the BCG and the charging handle. I had to unpin the rear of the upper to get the shell out. Anyone else has this problem?
I might be ammo related. I will try a different brand next time.
Overall it's a great setup bc you can shoot all day long and not feel it in the pocket book.
