LW-15 polymer lower into a dedicated 22LR, whose done it?

Sorry to raise a dead thread...

I am building a stripped LW-15 Lower with a Tac Sol 22LR Upper. My question is do I really need a New Frontier Armory Blowback hammer or will I be ok with the standard Hammer in my CMMG LPK?

I have the same question but for TACCOMS FUL upper.

The hammer in CMMGs LPK is heavy enough for blowback?

Yes, if it's like all your other LPK hammers it should work with no problems. It's just the polymer one from the NFA COMPLETE lowers not striking hard enough on the .22lr uppers.

I have the Plum Crazy Lower attached to a CMMG 22.lr upper. No issues. You will need to either change out the hammer to the narrow one or shave the existing one down some, as they've stated.

i did the same thing and it is fun to shoot had to change out the triger and hammer from the plastic ones now it is 100%

yes the 10 rd mag is all you get in cal.

The aftermarket hammer was produced because the early generation LW-15 hammer had clearance issues with some 22lr uppers. The newer lots have addressed this. Since you are using a different LPK, you shouldn't have a problem.

You would need a standard (heavier hammer) for it. The stock hammer is too light and cannot be used for .22s. I highly recommend ALG's ACT trigger. Riflegear has it for $70. It's nickle plated making it a good choice for dirty .22s.

The stock hammer can set off a centerfire but not
a rimfire.

The reason for the blowback hammer is the OEM plastic hammer is wider
and does not make contact with the firing pin in 22 conversions.
