Especially, for many of us retired folks. Rimfire ammo goes fast . . . 200 to 300 rounds a day at 2 to 4 range visits per week. Regardless of what centerfire cartridge I shoot for the day, I always start the session with .22lr.

I love shooting my 22's. I easily go through 300 rounds in 1 range trip. I've been stocking up since last year.

It sucks how ammo can be used for rifles and handguns are going to restricted. I've received several emails from online vendors stating they will not ship 22lr to Cali because it is considered handgun ammo.

I've got at least 25K and counting......

what store is this? stupid policy if true. i guess i can see a rush happening right now with CA types clearing the shelves till feb 1; but if it's a normal policy i want to know and everyone else should know so others can avoid any business there, period.

Yes, Koko, please identify the the store name and location. If it is near any of my friends in Parker or Lake Havasu, I will let them know, so that they may take their business elsewhere!

FYI purchased ammo in AZ was asked for ID only at Walmarts in Sierra Vista, Nogales and Yuma. Wasn't really practiced with each purchase, I asked why they carded me, it was because of the close proximity to the border.

What Why?!? Money is Money, are they scared that we are contagious or something? Are they scared that we are going to bring our anti's with us? or is it just that they dont want to give away their whole supply to out of towners? seems stupid to me because they are losing out on a big market. I wouldnt be surprised if ammo prices start to go up in towns close to the CA border.

just ordered 10,000 more rounds. Grafs told me no more rimfire or handgun ammo after this order. Sad.

Meh, Carson City is like 2 hours away and my brother in law has a sturdy truck powered by Cummins. idk if I will need the truck, but I can drive down like once a year and buy like 8000 rds. I don't shoot THAT often, so I only have a small stash of like 2000 rds.

I bought some ammo in Colorado a while back and they only carded me to check my age. I wasnt sure if they were going to like my CA id or not, but the guy didnt seem to give it a second thought.

I've got 50 rounds. That's what the politicians said I need, so that's what I've got!
I'm still having a hard time buying one handgun a month, though.
