My guess is that it will need to be oiled. From what I've learned, these rifles come with good tight tolerances all around.

Like stated previously in this thread, they will compete head to head against Anschutzes...and WIN. ;D

    I'm already a 452 fanboy, and I don't even have it yet!

do the Lux and the Trainer models have provisions for mounting scopes? I always thought I would need to buy two 452's, one with irons and one with a scope. If I can kill both birds with one stone, I may pull the trigger very soon.

Yes, you can use CZ rings on both the Trainer and the Lux models. The CZ rings aren't cheap (around $50, IIRC), and they aren't quick detach. Don't worry about the hogback stock, either-- it isn't so curved that it's unusable for scopes. I have a 2-7x scope mounted on my Trainer, and it works great.

ETA: Here are the 1" rings ($57): https://shop.cz-usa.com/item_detail.aspx?ItemCode=19001 They're for the 11mm dovetail atop the non-American 452 models. Not sure if other rimfire rings will fit. The CZ rings are steel and of nice quality, though.

also looking at getting a 452, was thinking about the american or the varmint rifle, was curious though to know if there was any brand or type of round that the 452 didnt like/feed well?

I have one and absolutely love it. Great shooter to at least 100 yards , even with the open sights.

I am a noob, however ive owned my 452 since i was 14, and I LOVE it,just put a 3x9x32 scope on it with 3/8"s rail scope rings, mine works awesome with cheap federal lead round nose rounds for some reason? 452s are the road to go for an accurate rimfire bolt action.

Assuming that both barreled actions have the exact same contact points...

LOL, I still haven't gotten this thing, but plan to do so. Seriously.

You want to pull the trigger on your purchase soon. The supply is getting limited on 452's.
Take a look at what Bud's has in stock at this time.
I think I'll grab a couple now before there gone. A Lux for me and an varmint ZKM for the boy. -g

Luckily, my FFL told me that he'd hold it in his safe until I was ready to buy...

I need to regenerate my gun fund, because I just had to have a Lee-Enfield. I probably should not be allowed to be near any more mil-surps, especially a No.1 Mk.III Lithgow SMLE.

The 452 2E ZKM Varmint has a bull barrel that is a tad shorter than the American.
Looks to be a stout bench rifle that I may slap on a harris bi-pod for field work.
