100m is really the effective range for a .22 outdoors, after that, being accurate with your shots takes some real skill because even a little wind makes a big deal. if it's a head on shot, it'll break no problem. if you glance it, you might just knock it over. just do EVERYONE a favor and dont leave a bunch of broken glass outdoors. I f*cking hate people that do that. just stake down a large tarp and put the bottles in the middle, it'll make cleanup a breeze.

Only thing I can shoot on my private property is my wooden rubber-band Uzi.

Doesn't make you a stupid felon, but it makes you irresponsible.
You have access to that shooting area, so what makes you think a family may not also go out there to enjoy a picnic away from the noise and crowds?
It's easily within the realm of possibility... much more so than your aunt having a pair.

Besides... BLM rules specifically prohibit shooting glass on BLM land... so while you may not be a stupid felon, you may be committing an infraction, and are a part of the reason we are losing BLM shooting areas unless you pick up all of your debris.

You guys assume way too much.Do you know where that rang is located at. And if any one where to have a picnic there, they would not live long enough to enjoy there meal .And last I checked the map, that is not BLM land. You saw a 30 second video and you have no idea what happened before or after that time. The rifle range would be the last place I would pick to have a picnic. end of rant I will no longer be shooting glass.Do you feel better now?

Nice video Spec 4 Guy. What kinda zoom were you using? That's a great video camera that can zoom in from 317 yards away.

I broke a neighbors window once shooting a Red Ryder in my back yard. BB deflected off concrete. Had to replace the window (pretty expensive on a grade schooler's budget).

I've never shot any bottles that weren't plastic or containers that weren't aluminum or tin.

It was a HD vid cam mounted on a 18 to 36 power spotting scope.

the reason I don't shoot at glass bottles etc is primarily cause I'm just not disciplined enough to get every last shard of the stuff.

I bet that Talon .22 is a ton of fun... great army men shots

I shoot all copper. Its for the condors

I didn't realize Broderick was turned toxic from lead bullets. Was there a range near there? Haven't been in the area that long.

I have NEVER shot glass. I was taught the implications at a young age. My dad told me the animals would slice their tongues licking their wounds. Plastic, clay, paper, soda, water bottles, oranges, apples, Tannerite, rabbits, deer, pigs, ducks, quail, and the occasional coyote.

P.S, This is how to spell GREAT.
You're the one who stepped in the scat. With both feet.

I'm gald you're not shooting glass anymore. It shows that you are capable of learning. Lots are not. Maybe I sould have said ignorant. Lots of young people just don't know what glass really does after they leave the range. If you want a great reactive target try Tannerite.
