I'm seriously contemplating getting this M4 22lr. I could use some advice as to the choices I'm faced with. (A) FFL 50-mi away, lifetime replacement warranty vs. (B) local FFL, $20 cheaper in total cost, incl. transfer/DROS.

Since I have to go to FFL twice, I'd have to drive 200 mi. for option (A). Estimated gas cost = $30. Thing is, this being a rather pricey rifle, lifetime warranty has strong appeal, although I would assume Colt/Umarex offer mfgr warranty as well (probably not life time?)

    What do you think?

The warranty from Colt/Umarex is 1 year. Maybe the $30 for a lifetime is worth it.

22LR is expensive, still a lot cheaper than 223. I use my FAL as the big
rifle and that ammo is the same as 223. Pete
