For $350, I'd buy one just because of the mags with the thumb sliders. If it was a rostered gun in CA. Let's get rid of that roster.

As far as the reliability of this super light blow back rimfire... did anyone really think that just because it was a "real" Glock, that they would somehow be able to reliably feed garbage rounds like Winchester? I never thought it would.

I watched the video review before commenting on reliability.

I would bet that Golden Bullets will work great.

I personally have not had great luck with all the Federal varieties (in new guns) that I used to shoot in the old 10/22... but Mini-Mags are always a winner.

What the hell were they thinking?! 10 round 22 lr. for $450. Oh but it's GEN 5!!! Hell my Advantage arms G19 holds 25, is reliable, fun and cheap. So...why in the world would I want a Glock 44?

Well I got a chance to shoot this gun today. My local range got one in as part of their off-roster rental board.

My honest impression is that this pistol is... weird.

It's SO LIGHT. a G19 is about 24 oz with the empty mag in it, and this is something like 14 oz. Barely any metal on it. I know we joke and say that such and such pistol feels like a toy, but this one REALLY feels like a toy.

That said it seemed well put together. No loose parts or slide rattles. Trigger pull is light and crisp but not amazing. Sights are OK, but not great.

The pistol is so light that you'd think the recoil, even from a .22, would be slightly snappier, like a pocket pistol. It's not... it's so soft shooting that you felt the motion of the slide cycling more than the actual charge.

I don't really care for glocks, I much prefer my 5" XD. But I suspect that if you're a G19 fan you'd like it more than I did. But I like guns in the 30-35 oz range and this was SO light... it felt odd.

Not for me, but not a bad pistol. Glad I got a chance to shoot it.

Sounds like a Glock lower with an aluminum Advantage Arms .22 LR slide installed. Feather light.

Definitely sounds like a lot of new stuff... from guns and optics to cars and software. Do not adopt the first version.

Yeah, people are reporting out of battery detonations... with and without slides cracking.

This is what happens even incorrect materials are used on parts that get stressed. This is a huge problem with many .22s (the walther p22 and sig mosquito being two majorly failure prone designs). Too many manufacturers skimp out on materials when building .22s. Zinc, pot metal, and plastic have no business being slide materials.

Here is a pic of the gun afterwards, looks like part of a case still in the chamber. Possible out of battery firing or round not fully chambered??
