    Ummm...The GLock 44?!

What the hell were they thinking?! 10 round 22 lr. for $450. Oh but it's GEN 5!!! Hell my Advantage arms G19 holds 25, is reliable, fun and cheap. So...why in the world would I want a Glock 44?

    Because it's rimfire perfection

Seriously. I'd buy one. (NOT Calguns $900+ marketplace price points) My M&P is a blast to shoot, but it's full size and only 12rds. This will be kid friendly for my little's and good transition for them into the G19 9mm.

      Here is an early review:

TFB Exclusive: GLOCK 44 In .22LR - Rimfire Perfection - Today the iconic polymer firearms manufacturer announces a new model in a new caliber: the GLOCK 44 in .22 long rifle

One of the Q&As states: "At the time of this writing, the unconfirmed MSRP of the G44 is $400 USD." ...street price of $300-$350???

If it is a "reliable" .22 cal pistol, I would consider purchase in that street price range

I'm sure it'll be a nice .22 even if they have to shake out a few bugs in the first year because it is a rimfire. Here, an Advantage Arms slide is good enough for me. Mine fits on four of my frames/trigger combos.

Looks pretty interesting. The slide is half polymer and steel too. I’d love one around the $300-350 mark.

Oh Gaston Glock, you didn't read my read my wish list letters correctly!

I wanted it to be a .22 , the size of the old baby Browning or Colt vest pocket model AND have a 10 + 1 round capacity!

My rough calculations said that you could have sold them for $200 like hotcakes and still doubled your money on each one.... but no, you have given us this full sized $350+ training thing.

I'm still counting on Santa to do it right and you're probably on the naughty list now.

If it is found to be as reliable as my Walther .22lr MP5, I will definitely consider it - but not for $400.

I've read conflicting reviews on the advantage arms slide which is why I never picked one up for my G19...

For those who carry a Glock concealed, a Glock in .22 can add to the training cycle.

Glocks also have a different grip angle than the 1911 platform (sig, XD etc)

A Glock in 22 LR will have the same grip angle as a Glock.

Glocks, in general, don’t rust. Given all the HORRIBLE boaters on the forum... a rust free gun is desirable

Magazines- Glock magazine- OEM- factory mags work, are durable and can be dropped / stripped out of the gun and hit the ground and still work.
(Ever see a 1911 or sig 226 shooting practicing type 3 malfunctions? Mags don’t get tossed to the ground that often)
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Interested if glock mags will work with AA conversion kits. Time will tell.

Interesting. I chose a Springfield XD over a G19 when I wanted to acquire that type of pistol, but the G19 still had something appealing about it.

If these get on the roster I'd like to try one to see if this will scratch that itch.

                        Meh. I'd rather have a 42/43 sized 22.

That won't happened because it lacks the CA mandated safety features (magazine disconnect mechanism and microstamping array) for semi-auto rimfire pistols.

It'll appeal more to the Ruger SR22 or the Walther P22 crowd who wants to use it as a 9mm understudy or a plinker, but not to me, who like to target shoot with the 22. If the barrel length was 5 inches or more, I would have been intrigued.

That staple-gun trigger would be quite something on a 22.

                              .22's overpriced these days?
