Sling installed

- Hogue Quick Detach Poly Sling Swivels

I love my sling setup so much! Waiting on my scope and bipod

It should come with iron sights. I found them to be just fine, after adjusting them
I just had to drift the windage and move the ramp 1 notch.

i am picking up a 795 this weekend and was wondering if anyone has a good suggestion for the sights i should get. Its mainly going to be a target practice rifle and i have a reddot on my Mark iii already. but with this rifle is the reddot or a small scope the better option for target shootingLeave a comment:

Evo...I have no idea where Sunset is. I shoot in Garner Valley (near Lake Hemet) I will until they close up the forest for fire season...then I might be willing to travel "go below".
Cumon up. As long as you're not one of those guys that feels obligated to shoot glass bottles and leave em' behind.
sunset rd off the 10, and nope we pack out whatever we take in and then some usually! let me know!Leave a comment:

Everybody seems to like CCI Blazer....my 795 hates em', no FTF's but way too many stovepipes. I stopped at a Walmart (a trip for me) and picked up some Winchester 555 bulk and they're much better but the FTF's are a little annoying....not so annoying that I'm willing to pay for Mini Mags though.
Guess I'll have to make a few more trips to the city to find whatever mine likes best....life ain't easy for such a cheap bastard.

Yes it is Boyds stock. The mag cutout was actually fairly simple. Removing the additional material for the trigger guard was a little more involved.
As you can see you need to extend the cutout for the trigger guard a couple of inches. I used a dremmel ( first time I ever used one ) and I did get a couple yips (shoulda practiced). Overall I am very satisfied with the quality and fit, I will be ordering one for my Savage 111.Leave a comment:

That stock is killer.
I'm really digging my bolt action .22 marlin. It's got a really heavy barrel and I can sometimes even hit what I'm aiming at
It was also only $175, 25 or $35 cheaper than the 10/22.
I have the red dot on the Ruger. I'm much better with those Marlin sights.
It looks really slow to load those Marlin 60'sLeave a comment:
