    Hi guys,

Got my Marlin 795 the other day as well. Does your bolt handle wobble or have minor side-to-side play? I noticed that mine was able to pull sideways about a tiny bit (See the picture that I've outlined in red).

    Is this ok/normal?

Just got my 795 out of jail last night! The daughter and I had a good time disassembling, cleaning, oiling, and reassembling it and then lots of practice operating it.

How long does it take the mags to slide in and out easily? They are so difficult for her to remove right now. They did loosen a little after inserting and removing about 15 times.

I can not wait to hit the range with it!!!

Just put a walmart bipod on mine. The scope is next. Im thinking about a second one just so I can put tech sights on it and not change the configurations at all!

Nice! I picked up mine, but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Don't know why but that simple rifle just is a beauty. I too need to decide if I want a scope or just the iron sights. I'm going to try the iron sights first when I take it out next week.

    Hopeful

Lookin' good so far. J&P springs delivers. The recoil spring is just what I hoped to see....longer and without question stiffer. Tougher to install..tougher to slide the bolt open....just what I'd imagined I needed.

I did a temporary repair with a file and some JB weld to the damage so that I'd be able to tell from the next chance to shoot whether the slide problem is resolved.

Thanks to Chaos (pops) I didn't wait for a resolution from Remington. I called them first thing monday, but haven't heard a word yet. Oh well, moving forward is good.

    Range report to come,
    Gub.

I got my magazines last thursday(very fast shipping) and should have my scope this week ($30 from Walmart). I need to find a 1" to 2" butt pad to make the rifle fit me a little better, and then maybe a magazine loader, if anyone knows one that works for the 795 mags
