Sweet, too bad you couldn't get a feel for the accuracy. I think mine is darn near a laser gun, even with the less than perfect stock sights. Which reminds me that I have to loctite the front sight...

I can't wait to get some Tech Sights (might have to be my xmas present!)

Put 660 rounds through my 795 today and again no single hiccup of any kind. Went through about 300 Mini-Mag solids, 240 American Eagle HPs, 120 Federal Champion solids. Accuracy was a bust, really windy day, can't say much.

Hey Knee, i have a 50mm scope (6x18x50) im wondering if your setup will help me install my scope without hitting the actual dove sights. Yours looks pretty close to the sights, so im kinda iffy about it.

It might be a tight fit with your scope. If it's a difficult fit you can remove the rear sight and re-install later if needed.

I completed my final scope fitting with emphasis on securing the mount from movement. I cleaned screws, threads, mount and receiver with Gun Scrubber and a towel. I then applied around 7 drops of Loctite blue directly on inside left of the mount groove and smoothed with qtip. Applied Loctite on the threads of the 5 mount screws on and proceeded to add scope and top rings. Feels solid and final testing/zeroing at the range will occur shortly.

Yeah, I had my tech sight walking after about 120 rounds. Supposedly some Loctite in the dovetail groove fixes it.

Just arrived!
Intensity 4-12x44mm AO scope today so I installed using Instapark One piece mount.

I haven't secured the scope on completely and plan on sighting it in at some point later in the week. I was able to bring the 795 out to the range and tried some different ammo using the iron sights but am looking forward to more precise results with the scope, which will help me determine groupings and ammo choices going forward.

Shoot it and see how the mount works...I tried out my scope rings again, and they failed, again. I jammed those suckers tight too, they still started backing up.

This was probably shooting 150-175 rounds.

Intensity Scope and new mount

Here is the pic of the size differences between the Original stock and the ATI Fiberforce for those who maybe interested. I actually found I like the original stock more than I thought so I first starting working with the Dremel on free floating the barrel this afternoon. The ATI was already purchased so I thought it was an ideal candidate for the camo test before I proceed on other firearms or my car lol.

Rifle was just picked up this morning and I started modifying it later in the afternoon and just brought the ATI Fiberforce stock inside from recent painting since its warmer then my garage and I wanted to see it installed. I didn't receive my scope this week as I thought I would so that will go on next week. I also just received my Caldwell NXT rest the other day. I am going to go ahead and bring the Marlin to the range tommorow for kicks and test out the iron sights. My rear sight was installed crooked, looking down sights it is way to the right. Very tiny rifle compared to my old bolt action. Looking forward to tommorow!

I also used the Krylon Camouflage paints (khaki, olive, brown) ... forgot to add that I used Krylon Matte clear on top of the paint in hopes of added durability
