Does the barrel free float now after you put the ATI stock on? Could you put the original stock next to it for a comparison of the dimensions of it? Can you tell I'm on the fence about the stock? LOL

its awesome! i couldt get it on at first because i didnt have a dremel too, so i used a hot knife (which was retarted), but when i got my dremel tool it took maybe 15 minutes of work to get on nice and snug. the stock gives it a nice sturdy feel, especially with the pistol grip.

Here is mine ready for the Appleseed in Dulzura. Could not leave it stock, painted olive green and added some grip to it. Centerpoint 3x9 scope and GI sling.

I love Marlin 795, too. Super light and a real tack driver. Best value for the money.

Shot over 500 rounds (Winchester) over the weekend, and not a single failure.
I was shooting bottle caps off at 20+ yards, using iron sights. Amazing accuracy.

With passage of AB962, I lament that the days of 500 rounds shooting days may be over, but heck, gonna enjoy as long as ammo, though scarce, is still available.

Didn't get to use mine at all since I spent most of my time butchering the pig on Sunday.

No it is not supposed to hold open with no magazine inserted, unless you hold the lever up with your finger.

Newbie question, is the bolt supposed to hold open when I pull the charging handle and there's no magazine inserted? With a mag in it will lock by just pulling back on the handle. Without I have to push the charing handle in to lock it open. I did a clean and lube not too long after I got it home. I might have reassembled wrong.
