Thank you for the compliment. eBay scope, walmart bipod, Boyd's rough stock; shoot, I probably have less invested than some aftermarket 10/22 barrels! I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics.

Had to take it out to see what it would do. 20 round group @ 50 yards in semi darkness and eyes that didn't want to focus on the bulls very well

That is a sweet looking Marlin and a nice shooter as well

Does it really work on the 795 magazine? Looks pretty cool to me assuming it works on the magazine.

Any other things I need to get besides extra mags? Oh a case. I don't think it comes with one. Any decent ones to recommend?
If you want a scope, I have an extra 3-9x lying around....

As for the other thing you posted, I would like to see a video of this in action. Sounds interesting.

The 795 mag has that sharp metal at the top and it just kills the thumb, at least on me it does. My son can only load 4-5 rounds and can not do any more. SOMETHING would be great. I have tried to manufacture a couple of different designs in my limited shop, but the 22 rounds are just a bit small and seem to shift off center. Only so much I can do with brass and aluminum in the limited space at the top of the 22 magazine.

    A sexy Marlin case

I have this one and it fits my rifle with the scope and bi pod snugly

I just get the cheap Plano hard case from Big5. Usually can find them for $15 $20. I also put an inexpensive (note I did not say cheap ) Winchester Wally World Bi-Pod on mine. Makes a huge difference having that on there.

Mages, Case, BiPod and a few federal bulk packs. Good to go!

It is a very accurate rifle. After I had my sights fixed by Marlin, I am able to get a reasonably tight group at 50 yards with iron sights. I am not that steady, trigger is rather heavy, and my eyes are not the best, but I was still holding a 2"-3" group at 50 yards yesterday. I did have a scope on mine but removed it because I want some fun with the iron. With the scope and using the cheap Federal bulk packs you can hold a quarter size group at 50 with no problem. Hope yours comes in with the sights aligned properly, if so, you will not be disappointed. Get a couple of extra mags too... :-) Ah the fun! See the target picture above. You can expect those results with little effort.

I have 3 mags, they are really easy to load. I use a speedloader for my 22/45 mags though.
