Ya heres a couple nothin special just a straight out of the box 795 with a cheapo scope on it. It shoots great though, I love it. Also here is a group at 50yrds, not too bad for a factory .22 with bulk ammo. I love it.

Thank you, Ya I wasnt sure about the scope either because I can shoot pretty decent with open sights and sometimes they are more fun. But now that I have it sighted in pretty good I really like having a scope on there. Maybe Ill just have to buy a second one and leave it with open sights.

Having 2 or 10 is always a great option.

Anyone have a problem with their marlin 795 jamming the first hundred rounds? I keep getting jams and I'm noticing little paint chips in and around the chamber. Is this a normal break in process? I'm using standard .22LR rounds, nothing special. I've tried 2 different boxes.

Never had jams except for dud rounds (strikes were like any other shell) and I too have paint chipping on the inside of the receiver. I just keep it oiled and it seems fine to me.

yes i have had jams then figured the marlin does not like to be over oiled i usually dont clean the gun much and it runs perfectly fine

I bought my 795 at Turners 2 days ago. Have to wait until the 12th to get it. Yep, with the rebate it is $109. Since I had a $150 gift card, I gave them $27.23 and when I pick it up, I'll get the $25 rebate. So, my price, if I figured it right, will be $2.23.

Yes, the first hundred rounds or so I would get a FTF or FTE per magazine. I got the same black paint chips in my action as the bolt scrapes the left side of the receiever. The left side of my receiver (inside the action) has noticeable wear, I dont think theres much you can do about it. The failures eventually stop, and if they dont, change ammo. I switched from Winchester Super X HPs to CCI and Federal after the first hundred rounds or so and havent had a single jam since. Maybe the jams were just from break in, and so the Winchester ammo will work now, but I dont care enough to test the theory, Im sticking to whats working.

I say we get a build party together for these and see how much custom stuff we can install in a day on them.
