I picked one up from the Sports Authority by me a couple of weeks ago for $94.99 after the $25 mir. After tax and fees it cost me about $130.00 otd. I couldnt pass that deal up.

Sports Authority's price is still good thru March 6th. - at least here in Oregon. I want one!

I just bought a Marlin 795 myself from Turner's Outdoormans for $177 OTD with a $25 rebate. My brother has this same rifle and I loved it so much I had to buy my own. Its setup with a Sightmark relfex sight.

My question is, will this gun fire subsonic ammo and still cycle correctly? I wanted to plink in my backyard but its a little loud with normal .22LR ammo.

subsonic is fine just dont use the shorts or the CB's in it.

Would be fun. I went out 2 weeks ago with my SKS and M38 carbine to the desert and shot up some AR400 steel plate. 100 yds no penetration even with the mosin round = )

Anyone find a thumbhole for my 795 yet? Or can someone here make me one and I will pay them for it? I want to make my squirrel rifle a one of a kind.

There is no thumbhole for the 795. make one out of a 60, or buy the ATI stock.
