i get my marlin 795's at turners.com. theyre $149 right now.

i get my stock on airsoftforum.com and my local craigslist. some are working and some are non working. non working are definitely cheaper.

once you finish one, the rest after that becomes easier.

imagine seeing all these .22LR conversions on the bench at the range.

Thank you for the info, not sure if I am ready to try something like those yet. How do the airsoft gun hold up? Should I look for one that have metal or are the plastic ones ok?

i havent shot any of them yet. i just got my 795 a week ago so i dont know how the recoil is like with the manufactured stock.

plastic ones are ok provided you do a good bed job. there are some that have plastic stocks and work fine. heck isnt our manufactured stock plastic? just make sure its tight and secure.

then you can move up to metal if you want to spend the extra money.

its better to look for used shells

So do u need to install a bullet button if u convert a marlin to something like this since it will have pistol grip?

Bullet button's are not required for rimfire.

                For rimfire rifles.

You still need one on a rimfire handgun if it's configuration makes it an AW(like the ruger charger)

Thanks for the heads up. Picked a couple more mags up and some slings. Too bad they didn't have good options for swivels but I needed to make an order at Midway USA anyways.

                  Now I'm ready for Appleseed!

I just picked up a magazine from big5 (used a discount coupon) for my 795 and it's really tight. Doesn't fit very well. I might need to see if I can adjust it. Hard to insert and remove. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem. I doubt I can find the receipt!!! Will have to compare and see where the mechanical differences are.

Where'd you get the coupon from?

Does anyone know if this sling will work on the 795 or is there a way to make it work? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Wincheste...-Hook/19212194

Not sure that it will fit into the sling stud but if you add a sling swivle it most likely would.

The better question is "Would this be a good sling for a 795?"
                            For carrying? Maybe
                            For shooting or Appleseed? No.

You would be much better off with this:

Then you can use it like they do in this ww2 training film and how they teach you at Appleseed.

If you sign up for their e-Team, you get a 10%-20% coupon e-mailed to you about every other week. Last time it was 20% of 4 regularly priced items. I think it's just a basic 10% off this time.

                              EDIT: Link

Mine are the same way. Shot mine for the first time today and they did loosen up a little bit. Not by much. I guess they'll loosen up over time. Not in a big hurry.
