Being fairly new to firearms I never put much thought into .22lr's until I purchased a 50th edition 10/22 rifle for my 10 year old daughter. I freaking love this rifle more than my AR's, it now sees twice the amount of range time then my 3 AR's and I shoot it more than my daughter does, lol. The 10/22 has converted me into a 22lr guy and now I'm 6K in rounds stored. Just purchased 2 weeks ago a 1911-22 and I'm currently looking to pick up a m&p15-22. Bottom line, get yourself a 10/22 if you haven't already picked one up, you won't regret it.

sent Friesland a book, sorry about that..

here's a little more info about these.. sorry about the crappy pictures, bought Mrs. Bee a $2k camera a couple years ago, still waiting for my portfolio

definitely the most interesting to enjoy at the range or desert shooting areas and the old ones run like a swiss watch.. not sure where the naysayer posted above got his info but I've owned about 10 of them and not had any significant trouble other than crappy ammo guess I could be lying to myself about that, but then why would I keep buying them and yes, they're all shooters except that one nib, for obvious reasons..

these three are top to bottom:
'65 10/22 SP w/ vintage Japanese Tasco #660A 4x32 on Redfield Quick Switch tip off's
'71 10/22 SP w/ vintage Japanese Tasco #660E 4x32 on Herter's rings and vintage military style claw sling
'67 10/22 SPC base only [will be looking for an old vintage Weaver for this one ]

1971 10/22 SP unfired NIB [far right pictured below]

the checkered one in the middle not pictured above, with the Texan 2 1/2 x scope, Weaver Detachable 1" rings
I started out with nothing - and I still have most of it

I like that take down model but I don't dig on the plastic too much..

but there is a solution http://1022td-woodstocks.com/

removed giant picture, go to the site please to see them, they're very nice!

and looks like I may have to send him a finger groove take off I bought loose several years ago and go pick up a takedown rifle

Send me your Ruger 10/22 Wood Carbine Stock and I will convert it to fit your Ruger 10/22 Takedown Rifle for $100 + $15 Return Shipping.
not sure if the no barrel band will fly or not.. guess I'll have to ask

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago for $275 and it's a lot of fun. I got a deal on the X22 backpacker stock too ($90 shipped). I have a UTG bugbuster scope on the way.

^ Awesome. I like the looks of the other X22 stock, but that one just seems more convenient and practical.

I've got to be patient on the X22 stock. I ordered OD green so who knows when Magpul will do other colors.
Looking to acquire a Marlin 336 Texan. Hit me up if you are contemplating getting rid of one.

Was able to check "hit a 5"x10" target at 200 yards with iron sights off the list a week back. Had to hold the target at the base of the post, but managed to get consistent hits once I got it figured out.
