Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

I bought 2 cases, 20 bricks, 10500 rd about 2 months before Sandy Hook.
Paid about $160 per case.
That was 50 months ago. They are all gone now, and then some.
Two teenagers can go through a lot of ammo in an afternoon. Add a friend or two. Teach them the joys of shooting and addicting another generation of shooters to ensure the 2nd A never is relegated to insignificance.
So no, you may not, but your family can and will.
Think of it this way.
100 rds of target shooting a week
52 weeks a year
4 years later
10,000 rds GONE!?The constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense is not a ?second-class right,? subject to an entirely different body of rules than the other Bill of Rights guarantees.? ?.. I shot around that much last year, going to the range an average of twice a month or so. This year it feels like it's been windy all year, so I've probably only shot about a fifth of that.
I'm going to be clearing off my reloading bench this winter, since I bought a couple of new toys, so I'm guessing I'll be shooting less rimfire.Comment

Depends on how much you shoot. I shoot anywhere from 1000 to 2000 .22lr rounds per month on average. I have 10,000 rounds of fed automatch, 5000 rounds of CCI mini mag HP, 5000 rounds CCI Mini Mag round nose and now another 3250 (on order) of federal champion hollow points sitting on the shelf. I rotate out the oldest for the newest but even my oldest stuff is only a little over a year old. I replace any ammo I use as soon as I see a good sale price. My son has been known to raid my stash for 2-3k rounds in a single visit. It took me almost two years to get my .22 ammo up to those levels.
Several years back when .22 was harder to come by I went over 24 months without getting my hands on any .22lr at all because I refused to purchase from flippers. Never again. Now I keep my own stash.Last edited by Sapperforward; 12-09-2016, 11:53 PM.

Bass Pro Shop Rancho Cucamonga had 50 pc boxes of Winchester dirt for $5 each. Someone took the time to remove each brick from the case, each mini box from the brick, and load up the endcap. Scary. So 11 cents a round after you pay our wonderful state tax and get the heck out of there.Comment

By the way, am I the only one who wonders why thier 22 is garbage, but thier centerfire and shotgun shells are good?Comment

I know a guy in Alaska that scored one at a Sportsman's last year, but nothing in CA. I try to tell myself that making my own out of Mil .50 cans is way better, but I still feel empty inside. T-minus 300 rounds of Mini-Mags more to make another 2600 can, though (but I'm cheating and using some SV's too). The other one was that huge can of Fiocci, IIRC.Comment
