They're not "automatic." They just eliminate the "up down back forth up down" rigmarole involved with the stock release. There's a nub in the plate you can file off so a simple pull backward on the handle releases the bolt. You can DIY or buy the plate from VQ or any number of other makers."He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

I've never seen that Color hydro dip but they did have the kryptek typhon in stainless. I might buy it to match the typhon 590 I got there (went well with the magpul stealth grey mossberg gear). Want to find a middle with the fiber optic sights unless thr bead is easy to get off.Comment

Hey, i thought this 22 thing was supposed to be about cheap plinking. Lmao...
I could get really carried away. Think im going to polish the trigger, and do the poor mans hold open mod. Spent too much on 22' ammo lately. Not hoarding... well.... is 6000 rounds too much 22?Never enough reloading stuff

I truly enjoy my 10/22! Pure stock with natural wood. .22s make great training guns for the newbie and an easy way to introduce the sport to someone who has never shot. The cost to use this firearm makes it one of my favorites. My 10/22 seems to eat anything I can fit into the magazine.
I have several of the AlanGaitor tri-mags and keep them loaded up. When I head to the range I do not have to reload a mag until we have sent 90 shots downrange.Comment

Congrats! I love my 10/22, and have for the last 15 years. Putting a nice little optic on it (for a .22) is one of the first, and only mods I made. She's just a plinker and squirrel rifle. Enjoy!

Congratulations, OP. Notice those sighting screws on the top of the receiver. You crank those down to tighten up the groups.
Just kidding. Buy lots of .22LR: you're going to need them.
