    First 10/22. Now the wait

I originally posted, asking if a sub 300 10/22 was a goo deal. Well i just did the dirty deed.
Got the rifle, and a box of cci's 300 rounds for 296 otd/tax/dros at dicks. Its a camo version with the stainless steel option. Figured it was a good deal as most are selling used ones for the same price.
    I hate the wait.
This is the actually the first 22 rifle i have owned, and first ruger to boot. I looked at a few other 22's but like the quality of the ruger. We shall see.
Hope i did ok. Thought about the henry take down but... it so ugly

If you go with a bull barrel, you'll need a new stock or you'll have to open up the channel on your current stock. If you want a bull barrel, I would suggest

Very accurate lightweight aluminum barrels. Well worth the $$$.

Very nice look. When I was there they only had a ton of multicam in takedown form and a few typhon kryptek. Not sure if the extra money for the takedown is worth it. A 22 is always worth buying a few

agreed, that would have added a 100.00. to the price tag. Would rather spend that on ammo or maybe a stainless bull barrel

True plus more upgrade options with the single piece. The takedown looked appealing when we used to have to walk thru the complex to our condo without people knowing what I had. Rifles inside a softball bat bag and all lol. Now in a house it doesn't matter.

I thought about the take down, there is a definite cool factor. I worried about frame flexing while running around with a sling. Just doesnt seem to be a good sling gun. But man is the stainless take down sweet.

You will love it! Great rifles, and they are like a Mustang...so many aftermarket parts, you can do just about anything with them...
