Trijicon Accupoint TR24 on UTG QD mount. 3MOA with typical 7.62x39 Russian ammo at 300yds. You can actually shoot some consistent groups with this setup.

Why are russian optics better than aimpoints, eotechs, and trijicons?

At least as good and not worse.
If you like red dots, Aimpoint is better than anything Russian red dot simply because of it's battery life.
Russians have not made anything similar to Eotech as of yet so it stands alone in it's class.
There are various tritium and fiber optic powered sights (Kashtan, Obsor, Rakurs, UPO-1 etc) that are just as good if not better than Trijicon. In bulletproof construction and glass quality.

I spent way more time than I should've in deciding on one for my WASR PK-A, PK-01, PK Venezuela, POSP, Nato options, etc.

I ended up trying out an EOTech 512. The night vision offerings were very tempting but I decided to pocket the ~$200 difference for now.

My biggest hesitation was in the complaints about it sitting too high due to its thick base as compared to an Aimpoint-variant. However, so far I'm pleasantly surprised that height has been a double positive... so far after 1 range trip.

                              - One, the AK requires me to scrunch up my right shoulder to shoot offhand with the irons. A higher mount lessens that amount and makes it less uncomfortable. Definitely not a natural body position but better than tilting your head sideways.

                              - Two, while a concern was having to use a chin weld instead of cheek weld, the chin weld makes it less rattling on the teeth. I do know the trick to weld closer to the receiver to avoid the stock banging on your teeth but for rapid shooting on the move in a class or out, you don't have time to secure a good weld.

I ended up wavering between the 512 and the Meprolite RDS but a sale on the 512 tipped the scales. I might still get a POSP some time for the magnification and for the "2nd kind of cool" factor.
