Somewhat older sight, from the 90's and was actually used on bolt action sniper rifles, SVD's and VVS/AS-VAL. Comes with two different reticles.
It's a hybrid type of sight, a cross between scope and a red dot.
Quality sharp optic, if used properly. illumination is only on/off with no adjustment in brightens, works on two AA's.







Being a x7 it feels like a reflex sight with a high power magnifier behind it. Which can lead to weird lens affect on around the edge, this is how it's suppose to work - This scope requires proper eye relief (unlike most other Russian optics), If not the edge distortion will get in the way of proper use.
The ideal eye relief make the edge/rim of the ocular nearly disappear from view and what's left is magnified filed of view only with no visible scope diameter. Something like this, I could not get proper photo in time. My photos trough it shows the edge distortion that this scope will do without proper eye relief.

Ebay, Gunbroker, Kalinka etc..... Most of my Russian stuff is less than a 1/2 a year old.
I should have bought some that dried up for a while now, like PK-AS for example.

One thing about collecting Russian/Belorussian optics is that you accumulate camo man-purses as well.

Will cowitness and has two NV settings. Excellent AK red dot, build quality is exceptionally good.
Powered by one AA, battery life should be 3,600+ hours (not sure if Lithium or Alkaline).

Trijicon 11E-A (.308 BDC).
Had this sight for a while. Excellent optic all around. Can be to bright on a sunny day (FO illuminated chevron), tritium is a little dim compared to Eastern block optics but it's not a big deal as I don't shoot at dusk/dawn to often.
RS Regulate upper is pinned, one of the best (if not the best) AK mounts out there.

New hood for the Kobra. One of the better ways to get a good sunshade/hood vs factory rubber one.
Remove two front screws that are there to keep factory rubber hood in place.
Screw on 30 to 37mm step up ring on the optic window (threaded for 30mm).
Use 37mm hood, it will accept 46mm lens hood cap. Total cost is around $10 (Ebay).

Browe Tactical Optic 4x32 (7.62x39mm bdc)
Waited for this optic for a while, received it recently and it was definitely worth the wait. Top of the line optic, I'll even take this over similar Trijicon.
Crystal clear glass, very compact, excellent build quality, battery illuminated and light sensor just makes it so much better.
There have been numerous reviews written on it and one issue that had me concern a bit was very short eye relief. Well, after trying it out (mounted) it's not even a issue, very comfortable and eye relief does not feel any shorter or any worse than Trijicon or most other similar optic. It's more than acceptable.
For such a small or compact optic it does have some heft to it, nothing major or anything just feels really dense. I guess it's better than being too light. If anything I'd contribute it to high quality build.
Light sensor works like it was design to, not that I'd take this to combat but I can see major advantage for such a feature, if speed/time is crucial. It's also better than covering up fiber optic with tape on a sunny day.
One thing that I'm not to impressed about, its proprietary AD mount. Would prefer more modular base as in the Combat version.
Overall, it's one amazing scope and being for what it is, I'd say it's worth it's price tag and then some.

Great collection. I still think my Accupoint TR-24 setups make more sense than the fixed 3x Trijicon on an AKM.

I am having second thoughts about the RS gen 2 mount. I found that It has the same drawback as my KV-04s. On some side rails, there is front back movement. The RS gen 1 tension type clamp grabs all rails tight.

Trijicon in the pic is 11E-A, it has .308 BDC and its currently tied to Saiga .308. Having BDC has it's advantage vs 1-4x scope (especially in that longer range caliber).
As to RS mount, in my opinion it's hands down the best AK side mount ever made, 0 movement whatsoever once properly locked down. Rock solid mount and much better that anything I've ever tried.... Some side rails are slightly different and that is why each mount design has adjustments capability. Saiga rails are slightly different than WASR for example, the mount will need to be adjusted to each one (rail) differently. Second gen RS mount has superior tension adjustments than standard Soviet/Russian type that RS used in the past. As you can see I have both gen of RS mount (top camo one is gen 1), I had to replace screw and spring plate from Kalinka on it as the one it came with did not hold tension properly.
Had KV-04 a while back and got rid of it, one of the worst mounts I've tried, inferior even to UTG Chinese versions.
