Sorry to hear you had more than one bad experience with Optics Planet. I on the other hand have nothing but positive things to say about them.

I purchased my VORTEX STRIKEFIRE from Optics Planet for about $123.00 & a pair of Blackhawk Tanto Light Hiker shoes for around $75.00 on another occasion. Both times I had excellent experiences with them, plus, not only did my items within 3-4 business days but they also had the best prices on the online!

Reading through the conversation, you sound like a real PIA customer. So the item shipped a day later than you were told it would be originally on the phone. In normal lives, this qualifies as a "low priority" event and is not worthy of InnerNet revenge threads.

I could only read the first couple of lines and then just stopped. If it's out of stock, it's out of stock and get a refund and order somewhere else. You had one bad experience with them already why you getting all worked up again?

Don’t worry you’re not the only one who thinks Optics Planet is F@#$ed up. Last month I ordered a Troy folding HK style tritium front and folding DOA tritium rear. I was told it would ship in 1-2 days after not receiving anything after 2 weeks (keep in mind my credit card had already been charged) I call them and was told that the items were back ordered from Troy Ind and would take at least 2 weeks to ship. I have dealt with Troy before so I call them and was told that all items were in stock and assured me that they have not received a drop ship order from optics planet to me. So after a heated conversation with a Manager at optics planet they said my sights will ship that day. Five days later UPS shows up with my package and when I open it all that was in it was in it was the rear sight lol. I get on the phone with optics planet and once again their dumb ***** nature came out. The manager tells me that I am mistaken and that both items shipped and that they must start an investigation to see what happened and that it would take 1-2 weeks to resolve. The amusing thing is that when I contact Troy to see what happened they tell me that they only received a order for one rear sight and that was all that was shipped, I relay this info to optics planet and they flat out call me a liar, they know that they shipped both items and will not issue a refund. So now I have to do a conference call with the shipping manager and sales manager from Troy with optics planet and low and behold it was a misunderstanding and they will promptly refund me my money. The only good thing was that Troy sold me the sight at the same price with free shipping.
And Just like the OP I thought what the hell I will give them another try, so I place another order and of course my credit card is instantly charged but unlike the last time the next day I receive an email saying that what I ordered was back ordered even though they told me it was good in stock and would ship the next day!
As far as I am concerned OPTICS PLANET sucks ***** and they are flat out Liars!
For those of you who have had nothing but good results with them let me know what your secret is!

Then don't tell your customers that it will ship that day. If you went to DROS a gun and they told you come back in 10 days and when you did they said "OOPS, we started the DROS 1 day late, please come back tomorrow" I'm pretty sure you would be pissed.

You should have read all the way through then. It WASN'T out of stock. They messed up. The item was in stock but they marked my order as backordered.

stuff happens!! If one day makes or breaks it. You waited to long to order it.

I've only had good experiences with every product I've ordered from them, in fact the 5-6 products I have ordered, including night sights, all came early.

In any case it was a mistake, everyone screws up. Patience is difficult but figure that it gives you a week to plan your range trip or something.
