Spoke to the manager of Samco and according to him as directed by the ATF, they are not allowed to sell Hakims to CA. They are going to e-mail me a letter as proof. F*CK THIS STATE!!!!! One more reason why I am moving next year.

Yeah like to see what it says. I am guessing it has something to do with the 50 year old rule...even if it did I still could send it to an FFL and pick it up. As I recall Hakims were made in the 1950's and 60's and is on the BAFTE list.

yeah maybe but can you blame them? This is what I mean by east coast west coast specifically about CA. Because everyone knows that CA has some of the strictest gun laws and they want nothing to do with it. I don't blame them one bit.

I should have mentioned that in another thread here. I ran into that awhile back. If it is a bolt action rifle they will send it (sometimes in bad shape) to Kal with no problem. Ammo is about the only thing to buy from them. Then again there are better deals for ammo elsewhere as well.

I don't blame them either. But it really isn't that hard to do business with CA. There are larger companies that do it and so can they.
I have more compassion for the mom and pop that doesn't then for the larger outfits. If you're big enough to place an ad in SGN then you should be big enough to figure out how to sell to CA.

I'd guess that it is actually an AW issue, not a C&R issue.

My guess is that someone is deciding that the muzzle attachment on the Hakim is a Flash hider and therefore the Hakim is an AW.

You'd think then it's none of ATF's business, but a CA DOJ's business.

I think, it's the issues with Hakims not necessarily being over 50 years old (some are, some aren't), even though they're on the C&R list. I had to transfer mine through an FFL because of that. Still, it's a CA DOJ, not ATF matter. Provided Samco didn't make it up, that is.

Federally, the hakim is C&R, the ATF has no remit to enforce CA-DOJ rules or laws, otherwise they could be accused of providing unequal protection or hindering interstate commerce.
So samcos ATF agent, retarded out (likely) or Samcos $15 a hour expert retarded out (equally likely) or both did (most likely).
