But, I don't want to take advantage of the incredible service you are doing for the community. Is there a place where I might make a donation to you to say thanks and compensate you for the time/info I'd be after?

      Thank you!
I won't hear of it, list em up!

Thanks, Dave. It's a real beauty - almost too nice. I hope I didn't get snookered on a refinished gun. BTW, I noticed that some serial numbers end with an A and some with a B. What's the significance of that?

You know the rules on a new gun, pics in the C&R forum, or it didn't happen.

Flyin' Brian saw it, so I have a witness.

Not sure where Trap is, so I'll answer:

A model 1894 #988218 would have been made early in the year of 1926 with 10,790 made that year.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Trap was burning the candle on both ends, it caught up to me and burnt my end. Tell you about it when I see you, short version is, I found out the hard way how far I could push my physical limits.

First year of 1885, with 505 made that year.
You may want to get some pics and contact Bert with this one, good chance it might be in his forth coming book on 1885's.
