        Almost left this carbine there, but the Lyman sight intrigued me so I made an offer. I did not expect that they would accept it.

            That Lyman 21 sight was missing a few bits, so I sent it off to "The Guy" who makes reproduction parts. It's on the way back to me on Monday, and I'll post pictures when it is all assembled and complete.

            If everything goes as expected, I'll be taking it into the field this upcoming deer season.

                  The "A" denotes a Second Model, a change in the dust cover, or so it's claimed. Made Jan. of 1884, 27,920 made that year.
