Thanks for that write up. That is by far the most useful quick review of that rail system I have come accross thus far. Very nice builds.From what I understand, the black RIS II has so far been a limited run. Mine was manufactured in 08. I can't really say any cons about it, but it has so far been my favorite rail system. It's a 2 piece design like the URX to allow use of the M203 and while that does not apply to me, I like the fact that I can remove the bottom section fairly easily to access the barrel for cleaning/oiling when I use the rifle in wet conditions. It's cross section is also very similar to the Knight's rails with the bottom rail tucked in slightly, which I prefer to the oval cross section of the Lite series rail. Another plus to me is, unlike the URX, it doesn't need a $250 barrel wrench to install.
