BCM BCG - Totally shocked by BCM

Cracking up at all you guys acting like the OP was out of line. I run a retail business, and if someone had a terrible experience with our product, I would be falling all over myself to make it right. Then, if they said that they were disappointed in the brand but then they came back a little while later, I would be happy they gave me a chance to redeem myself and my brand name and you better be sure I would give them the best of the best.
Not going to freaking blacklist someone, because they were disappointed with me. That's ridiculous! They treated OP like he wasn't important enough to win back with their great product. I am getting more peeved the more I think about it...doesn't matter if it's a gun company or Taco Bell, they are in the business of selling a product and making customers happy so they will come back again and hopefully tell their friends. I will NEVER buy something with their name on it, and more than likely I'll tell a few others the same if it comes up in conversation.Comment

Haha, excellent analogy!
OP, maybe you were more of a PITA than BCM is used to dealing with?
Kind of strange to not "let it go" on their part, but I'm sure you will find a comparable BCG.Comment

I third that. That right there is a kick in the balls to BCM. If I was told what I built didnt work and get it back, cant get it to fail and then receive an email like that I would have sent the OP the blacklist letter at the same time I refunded the money. From your email chain in post #75
"I am pretty disappointed overall with my BCM experience. I decided I
wanted the best of the best, and after researching and asking
questions on gun forums, the general consensus was that BCM was
absolutely top tier. But for me, I have just experienced just the
opposite. I wish I hadn't sold my S&W.
I dont want to send this back again for another attempted repair. Is
there any other way you could see me right?"
This is why they blacklisted you. You told them they were not up to your standard. After they ran the upper without needing repair you told them you don't want another repair. I did not see any repairs done in the first place.
If you were disappointed with your first BCM experience and preferred using a lower quality S&W why did you buy a BCM BCG? Ya, because you can't find any elsewhere so you went back to the company you considered worse that S&W and told them so. I guess your opinion of their quality changed when you could not find anything else.
No, I don't work for BCM. I just call it as I see it.
If what they say is true, they spent AT LEAST 4 hours of shooting and hundreds of rounds out of their own pocket to reproduce the problem, which they were unable to do.
The issue and subsequent issues were enough for them to wash their hands of a POTENTIAL new complaint.
I wouldve done the same if I recieved an email questioning my quality as that is the equivalent of calling your children idiots or your wife ugly.
I have 100% confidence if they didnt recieve that particular email, they wouldnt have blacklisted the OP.Comment

Sometimes you decide a customer is more hassle than he is worth.
I used to do it with customers at the hot-rod mechanic shop, some guys just cost you countless hours of labor for BS reasons and you can't run a business wasting your time.
Heck, I have seen my barber turn people away rudely because he claimed they were just a big pain in his rear and he is plenty busy.
OP might not have deserved to get that rep., but there are plenty of other companies out there that will take his money.Comment

Who cares? Like others have said, there other quality manufacturers out there like Colt, LMT, DD, Noveske, Larue, KAC, LWRC, and a few other Tier 2 brands like S&W, Spikes, PSA, and Stag that are starting to match the same quality and customer service such as BCM, Colt, DD, and LMT. BCM makes very good products and have had nothing but great things to say about them, but if they don't want your business, then it's their choice. In 2008 my sister and I settled on a arbitration with a well known maker of luxary cars (I was the co-signee on her loan because my credit had a excellent FICO SCORE, so I got a better lease rate) the agreement was that even though the car was determined to be a lemon and acknowledged it wasn't our fault, the agreement was that they would pay all lawyer fees and every payment made to the bank back to my sister, but for a period of five years, I nor my sister were not allowed to purchase their products from them or their other companies or we would be held civilly liable. The bottom truth was this luxary car company didn't want us as customers, and this is a similar situation the Op finds himself in: BCM does not want your business
I will differentiate Noveske, KAC, Larue, and even LWRC because they have made products far more superior than Mil-Spec. BTW: I own almost every brand listed above except KAC, and if the panic hadn't set in, I would have purchased a KAC SBR before my departure from Florida. Instead, i sent in a Form 1 for a Spike's Zombie lower and bought a SWR Specwar suppressor in 5.56mm on a Form 4Comment

Yep the only time ive ever had a problem with one of my ar was one I built having a poorly made gas block. Put a DPMS upper on a Plum Crazy lower and shot 100 rds first day out with zero problems. That is outright BS... my AR's all worked flawlwessly right out of the box.. all built by me all different configurations. My bolt guns are and pistols are all gtg too.
Not to say that a mechanical device will NOT have issues but you're going over the top.
I'm not sure where you heard this... or if you just overstated your point...1904 Steyr Mannlicher M95/30

BCM is overrated anyway. they might have a couple of good products, but i'm sure you can find ton of other products out there that are as good or far better. i always LOL at the people trying to defend them for no reason, especially those who praise them for not taking advantage of their customers during the panic (which is a lie)Comment

sounds like they caught the "cheaper than dirt" bug. guess i'll be buying from LMT instead of BCM....sigpic
Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.
