Picked up one of these as a good alternative, i may do some stippling for a little extra grip. Good price and fast shippjng. A patrick henry triger guard helps in a more secure grip too.

Ultimately it's up to the customer to configure the rifle so that the trigger hand can wrap around the Hammerhead adapter as designed, and once having done so, to then hold the product correctly while firing.

To go on youtube and blame the product for what is clearly operator error is inexcusable.

Can you Wrap your hand around the hammerhead well with the magpul fixed stock?

I would love to see more photos of this set up? Does the hammerhead work well for Lefty's?

Is it a better fix and better spot to be within the law to get the Magpul Fixed stocks vs Pinning the stocks I'm using now?

        Thanks.

We have customers who do it. With the rifle the way the guy in the video has it set up, it could be a tight fit depending on how fat your thumbs are. There are DIY techniques (published elsewhere on the internet) to shift that fixed stock aft a bit to allow more space for the thumb.

I would love to see more photos of this set up?
Check out our Hammerhead product page for links to pages of photos and parts lists of various configurations. http://www.exilemachine.net/shop/exi...ter-blk-1.html
There's also a featureless rifles picture thread on this forum.

You bet. The product is symmetrical Left/Right.

Should be no difference legally as long as the pinning job is done securely enough to withstand rough handling during use unwarranted confiscation attempts, but your best answer on legal questions comes from a competent firearms attorney.

We get that Hammerhead's not everyone's cuppa tea (and at least one of those 1-star reviews is bashing California, not our product) but we are leaving the Hammerhead as-is. Would we do it differently today knowing what we know now after seven years on the market? You bet. But the product as is has the "blessing" of the CA DOJ, so even though we have several design proposals for product improvements, we will not touch that sacred mold.

I just installed the hammerhead and my fixed Magpul MOE stock. I put on the ASAP compatible cap, and had a nice gap which enabled me to wrap my thumb around the top. It looks very clean, feels very good. I ordered a MIAD grip and Exile's fin to test that out as well. I have a feeling I will be sticking with the current set up, especially since I can put my thumb over the hammerhead (feels like my remi 700).

If you fix the Magpul MOE stock with the other cap, you have no room to place your thumb over the hammer head.

The rifle config in this picture demonstrates what I am talking about:

question: why is that piece of plastic there? wouldnt it be more comfortable to have your thumb closer to the trigger instead of farther away? (assuming the web of your thumb fits in that gap)

This guy has no clue what he is talking about. The Hammerhead grip is one the finest featureless grip solutions on the market...

Hopefully after things calm down and it is widely accepted the HammerHead is gtg you can put out other versions.

I'm greatful for the HH but at the same time it makes me kind of sick to see it on my beautiful rifle, it just doesn't look right.

Edit: I ordered one of your HeadButts and will pair it with the Mossberg birds head grip.
Might be legally questionable though but who knows?

If you choke up that far on the grip it will be very uncomfortable because the end plate will dig into your hand.

I agree, I have a firm grip with the HH, can manipulate the rifle like a free world pistol grip. Been a HH user for a long time, long enough to remember when they were aluminum.

Have you tried any fin grip or the thordsen?

I noticed you don't have an ambidextrous safety selected either. Can you manipulate the safety without one?
