    First in line.
Wouldn't be for the same reasons your thinking...

so if you are that worried, just be next to someone with a AW looking AR, not a featureless one.
I have an evil .308 AR with a brake, I'm betting a lot of other people do too. One thing is for certain, I will continue my flawless record of never visiting an indoor range.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

My M1 has no muzzle brake, no compensator, none of that. A .30-06 round isn't quiet. Goes off like a sunnofa*****, oh well.

My M1A Scout, being featureless, doesn't need to be modified.

My AR10 no longer has a flash protector, just a thread protector. Thanks, Jerry Brown! Sorry to the other guys at the range, tho.

My wife was standing at my 8:00 when I was shooting my AR with a Seekins compensator.
Her hair would blow back with each shot. I felt nothing, until we switched places.
This was at our BLM spot.
The gun now has a thread protector, haven't shot it yet.

Rifles with muzzle brakes, those with actual rifle caliber cartridges, are very loud and obnoxious. I can't believe an AR style rifle, chambered in 9mm, a puny low-powered pistol round, can offend anyone wearing ear protection. I've been next to a few, and believe me, they're nothing compared to a real "rifle" with a brake. Hell, a .357 is much louder than any rifle chambered in 9mm.

Having the factory flash hider on my PTR 51P PDW (.308 Win pistol) doesn't really make a difference -- still massive muzzle flash and blast. It's loud AF even outdoors, and has been known to blast the paper targets right off the cardboard backing at close range indoors.

It provides the most entertainment to my shooting buddies during range trips.

People were getting annoyed at my 6.5" barrel AR pistol last indoor range trip which also sports a factory flash hider.

I find the loud noises from other shooters helpful in training to stay calm and focused during a combat situation.

I think a lot of the people bothered by loud guns may be new shooters and not expecting it.

More experienced shooters bothered by loud guns are probably there for other reasons than to have Battlefield Vegas-style (non full-auto) fun.

Ranges are LOUD, that's the sound of FREEDOM.

I thought about getting a muzzle brake for my featureless AR for tactic-cool reasons, however with the 20" heavy stainless barrel, it doesn't really need it. It currently has a thread protecter installed.

I also like the Levang. When I shot an AR pistol with a levang on it at an indoor range, there seemed to be less side blast.

                  Irrelevant. Still likely true.

If people don't like brakes they should complain to Jerry Brown.

The indoor range I frequent is already infested with 5.56 guys and their muzzle brakes, so I don't expect any change. Also, why do they shoot an AR at a 25yd MAX range so much? I can see it on a brand new rifle if you want to just conveniently get it on the paper ....

No idea. 25yds can be fun when shooting off-hand, as pretty much any shooter can keep all their holes on paper at that range - but I see a lot of AR bench shooters at 25yds too

Yes, and I would mount it to my Surefire muzzle brake.

Ah, yes there's that too. Not a problem in my area so I didn't think about that.

Ya, I think everyone would rather shoot ther AR's outdoors at 50+yards if that was an easier option, but this city thing keeps getting in the way.
