I wouldn't buy any of the henry lever guns, they're way too heavy and stock geometry is way off from that of Marlin and Winchester.

I owned multiple rossi 92's over the years and they were all decent but my newest is the best one. It's few years old, current manufacturer CBC in Brazil. Everything was perfect with it and I upgraded the stocks to walnut so it looks good too.

I'd buy a current Rossi 92 without hesitation, they're good!

I don't want anything to do with any old 357 mag Marlins or Winchesters. All have issues even the pre-remlin Marlins.

I handled a new Ruger Marlin and liked what I saw. Better than any Marlin I ever held before!

I really like the looks on the trapper length models, except for the stainless finish. Have the 357 remlin equivalent and ended up getting it cerakoted "sniper grey". Definitely like the newer stock look with the laminate over the older truck bed finish on the remlin versions. Makes getting a new Ruger version even more tempting.

That's a nice bunch right there, all well made guns for sure. I knew they made the 94 in 44 mag, didn't know they made em in .357

I too have a Win 94 in .357 that I really enjoy.
Fyi, mine will not function with 38 spl's. Works ok if I feed 1 round at a time into the open action.
It seems that the 1/10" shorter length lets the cartridge fall down under the lifter and jams things up.
It then requires major disassembly to remove the stuck round. Kind of a pia if you're at a range, etc.

John Browning's 92 Winchester outsold the earlier Winchester 73 because the 92 was stronger and lighter. But the 73 stayed in the catalog because it had a smoother action.

On the other hand, that's a 92 which Chuck Conners speeds shoots at the start of every episode.

Turners had/has the Henry steel side gate 357 on sale for $899. They sell both the carbine and 20" for that price.

Love mine, less than 7 lbs and nimble. These have the lower weight round barrel and steel plates.

Lever's are very American and kewl!

Question for those that like crescent shaped butt stocks. Does the shooter use the part of his upper arm to shoulder it? I'm used to flat butt stocks and find them easy to shoulder and natural. It must be a slightly different technique with the crescent butt stock.

Just curious.
