Personally, I'd look for a Marlin 1894 Cowboy in .357.

But - to answer your question, the Japanese Miroku Winchesters have outstanding fit and finish. Drawbacks would be a tang safety and a rebounding hammer. Not familiar with Taylor or Rossi but the Uberti's are nice, too.

As to the original question, the Miroku levers are first class. As mentioned previously, they do have a manual safety but so do most of them now - the Rossi has one on top of the bolt.
I cannot address the Uberti as I have not handled one. I do have 2 Rossi M92s. One is an older one in .45 Colt with no safety and non-buckhorn open sights. The other is a newer .44 Mag with the safety and buckhorn sights. I like the older one better. I will probably order one of the aperture sights that replaces the safety on the .44

I have the Miroku short rifle, the Marlin 1894c, and the Rossi 92.

The Miroku is by far the best of the 3 and the rebounding hammer can be fixed. The Marlin is nice - mine's an old JM I picked up at big 5. I just think the price for the Marlin is too close to the Miroku but the quality just isn't quite there to match the cost. The Rossi runs a close 3rd and is a bargain.

The operative thing to note here is that I wouldn't own all three of them if I wasn't satisfied with them. I'm confident that you'd be happy any of them, but if money isn't a big factor, get the Miroku.

Miroku Winchester is my choice. I have 1873 in 20 and 24" barrels. Superb action.
Just to be clear, 1873 does not have tang safety, tang is drilled and taped for tang peep sight like Marble.

My Henry 357 doesn't seem to cycle as smoothly as my Marlins, but it's brand new, and they're all 50+ years old with many rounds through them.
The fit and finish is absolutely perfect. Even the older Marlins have wood gaps and other small issues.
If I buy another lever gun, I will be looking at Henry again. It's heavier than a Winchester 92 or the copies, and probably a little more than a Marlin. My biggest regret is that I got this one about a month before they introduced the side loading gates. But I don't mind the tube loading.

Keep your eyes open for a Browning B92 in 357. Hands down THE BEST 1892 pattern lever action made. Winchesters included.

The Model X is great, glad to see them in stock at SW for 899. I swapped my stock to the Henry wood, looks and feels great.
