i don't think the guy that says i am lying has even shot a Scar 20S...since they aren't very common.
there a few competitors using the Scar 20S for long range competitions (gas guns).
That guy you are referring to runs comps and long distance rifle classes.

did i claim it was me? what's your problem?

i am not trying to brag on myself or pretend i am an expert marksman.
all i am trying to do is show that it is incorrect when you say a 20" .308 rifle can't shoot 1000 yards.
i think i made my point, several times.

i could pick up his rifle and miss 5 times in a row, and it won't be because the barrel is too short.

Suppressors add velocity, just like longer barrels.
Post a picture of your own form 1 or 4 for your suppressor with your California address on it.
If you have to use one of lowlights's videos as proof that something can be done, you probably don't understand what air density is and why it matters.

Here is a hint: air is thinner at high altitude.
Show me a 1000yd range with target pits within say 50 miles of downtown los angeles that is at 5,000+ ft of altitude and we can meet up there for the bet.
            Bring your suppressor.

i realize he lives in denver.
did you mention altitude when you claimed a .308 can't shoot 1000 yds?

if i get 1 out of 20, do i get the money?

We are in the LA area.
Did you mention the altitude that the OP is going to be shooting at?
We only have limited places that we CAN even shoot 1000yds at within a day's drive of the LA area and NONE of them are at 5000+ft of elevation so someone in the LA area wanting to shoot at 1000yds is going to be shooting much closer to sea level than 5000ft.

So show up at one of the local 1000yd ranges and prove me wrong.
Bring your $1000 and prove it or quit trying to say I'm wrong.
I have shot competitions at all of the local 1000td ranges and have YET to see a 20" barreled 308 making hits on the 1000yd line since they are almost all kicked off the range for missing at 900yds.

Suppressors are legal with the necessary permits which are basically unobtainable by the general public.
So if you happen to be a licensed manufacturer or an FFL with an SOT, you probably have the permits.
If you happen to be an enthusiast who simply wants one, you have about a snowball's chance in hell of actually getting one in CA.

Telling the truth is not being a jerk.

My problem is that people without the necessary experience/knowledge/credentials repeatedly post bad advice that realisticly does not apply to most people in CA because they saw it on the internet and were not spart enough to realize it would not be correct in most cases.

                            This needs to be stopped.

                              Yes.
When you can not keep your shots on the 6ftx6ft target frame and shots start going into the berm and kicking dirt/rocks on the target marking crew, the normal procedure is to remove the shooter from the range if he is beyond his ability to shoot in a safe manner.

Further proof that LBC's stated 2moa threshold of accuracy can not be met with short barrels.
