have you shot with the SSS trigger yet?
Your not ruining anyone's day because what you are claiming as facts are not facts.
Remington announced a trigger recall and half the schmucks on Calguns went for it. None of them had a problem with there triggers they just wanted a freebie.
Some stupid lady shoots her son and can't handle the fact it was her fault and 60 minutes jumps all over it.
Most custom actions are patterned after the Remington 700 because its the best design out there today.
Most aftermarket triggers are Remington 700 clones for the same reason.
There are no Savage clone triggers because the design sucks.
When you upgrade away from a Svage trigger you put a 700 clone trigger in its place.
Here is mine that is replacing the Accu Trigger that wouldn't hold the same pull weight for 5 shots.
i was shooting the rifle basix SAV-2s in my riles for about 7yrs and replaced 1 with the SSS trigger and before ever firing a shot with the first one i bought another for my comp rifle...the SSS triggers are a huge up grade from the rifle basix and easier to tune...very happy with mine.Comment

Glad to see your rifle is back and shooting well.
On an earlier post you said you couldn't offset the rings because the barrel was bored off center. The reason those rings are made is because 99 and 44/100 of barrels are not concentric end to end.
The offsetting of the rings takes care of that and other issues.
I have yet to shoot the SSS trigger. I received all the parts but the safety detent spring and the safety bar are not pinned yet.
In talking to one gunsmith he doesn't think they need to be but I want this one done right.Last edited by LynnJr; 02-23-2016, 6:15 PM.Lynn Dragoman, Jr.

They do their testing in a tunnel with the action bolted into a machine rest like a rail gun.
It better be a 1 hole group!Randall Rausch

It shows the rifles potential. Anything you do at home is now the ammo the shooter or the conditions.Lynn Dragoman, Jr.

Ok, I see your point but at longer distances (i.e. 500 - 1000 yards) How much offset would I have needed? I mean my windage dial bottomed out at 25 YARDS. I was under the impression that those off center rings were more for off center screw taps or an off center rail. If your barrel is drilled from right to left (bore to muzzle) then the problem only amplifies at longer distances, no?Glad to see your rifle is back and shooting well.

It's not that the barrel is drilled crooked.Ok, I see your point but at longer distances (i.e. 500 - 1000 yards) How much offset would I have needed? I mean my windage dial bottomed out at 25 YARDS. It's that the barrel is curved.
Once you are zeroed at 100yds, you really don't need any additional windage adjustment to be zeroed at 600-1000yds unless you intend to dial windage to correct for wind.Randall Rausch
