I have replaced my 2 Kimber 1911's with two DW. I will never look back.

Love Kimber, but if you can afford a DW it's a no brainier!

Right when Dan Wesson is releasing two new offerings for 2015.

A while back we shared a 2015 new product, the Valkyrie. Today, we're unveiling the Silverback. The only two-tone gun in the Dan Wesson lineup, the Silverback is chambered in .45 ACP and 10mm. Fit and finish is comparable to our top-of-the-line Valor series pistols, and it wears full-thickness G10 grips. Riding atop the slide are a superb set of adjustable target-style tritium night sights.

You've asked for it, so here's a little teaser of one of the new Dan Wesson models we'll be debuting at the 2015 SHOT Show. A bit of ECO, a bit more CCO and some flair all of its own, the Dan Wesson Valkyrie is our answer to customer requests for a CCW with that sticks in the hand but disappears easily for carry. A Commander-length slide makes for an accurate and reliable package, while the 25 LPI-checkered Officer frame secures it firmly in the hand. Watch for more info on the Valkyrie this January at SHOT Show.

I could always buy the silverback slide and have DW fit it to my Valor frame after SSE is gone.

Didn't know you can possibly buy the slide separately. I can probably do something similar; get the Silverback slide and fit it to my Razorback frame lol

I have a 70's series Kimber, and I'd say DW due to pier pressure alone. However, the my Kimber runs great.

Anything you want, as long as Dan Wesson is on the frame.

                            You have a Kimber.
You don't have a Dan Wesson.
Dan Wesson is not on the Roster.
                            Kimber is on the Roster:

                            Raptor II /Blue Steel Pistol 5" .45 ACP 12/29/2015
Stainless Raptor II / Stainless Steel Pistol 5" .45 ACP 6/10/2015
                            What is the problem?

You get the DW now; the Kimber next year.

(Of course, once you have the DW, you won't want the Kimber...you'll want another DW.)

The decision is easier with SSE going away, either I think people would be saying both

The quality of Kimber's have gone down tremendously since the Series 2 offerings. I owned 3 of them and I'm glad I sold them.
Funny.......I only own one but it is well made and brings much joy. I would buy a kimber again
