It's gonna suck for the FFL if the OP gets pissed about all the teasing and takes 30 days to pick up his freshly SSEd gun, tying that kit up.

I'm shocked that there are still slots available. At this point, I figured if a customer wanted to complete an SSE, they might be faced with having to provide the SSE parts.Comment

@ OP, if you don't mind spending a bit more to buy a SSE kit, audiophil2 sells some for $55 each:
Then give it to Jamie & Sandra and your gun should be good to go.
After that's done, you can later sell it off to another calguns member and recover most of the cost.WTB:

I just love it when sound advice is given, and then ignored. Sucks to be the OP, but the consequences are justified I think.

Good on you OP for manning up and apologizing.Thank you Sandra, i tried to keep it anonymous by not giving out the name of the ffl.
Im sorry if i was impatient. I hope theres no hard feelings. I know (from yelp and here) that you guys are nice people with excelent customer service. I just wish that theres no end to sse. Thank you and sorry for the inconvinience.
We all were new once and very very excited to get our first firearms. It's normal to get a bit impatient.
Unfortunately you chose the busiest time in recent history to attempt to get an off-roster handgun. We are all victims of these silly laws, especially vendors who often aren't allowed to sell what people want.
And remember, ALWAYS call first before you show up, it will save you a lot of headaches

Yup same as Riflegear. There is a guy on Calguns selling SSE barrels. I would contact him and buy one. Then after you're done you can pay it forward and give it to another member that needs a barrel. Having a gun sent from an out of state FFL to a SSE FFL in CA should be easy, the FFL's charge a whole lot to do the transfer.Sorry to hear that. You should have called a head and asked if they had a kit available or found an FFL that has an unlimited supply of kits. If you used Orange County Firearms in Fountain Valley there is no wait time (other then the person ahead of you in the store) and they have as many kits as needed for any and every gun. Good luck.Comment
