OP is definitely impatient and in the wrong but I don't think the FFL should've responded in the thread. OP didn't name the FFL in the post so I'm of the opinion that the FFL should've just returned the call or picked up one of the 13 calls instead of posting all the details in public. It sure seems faster than to type everything up, as well as more personal. Now, if OP called out the FFL, then fair game. It's his first SSE and he obviously didn't know the procedure which I can understand.

I SSE'd over 25 guns through OC Armory. They are obviously one of the best FFLs around.

However, with the upcoming deadlines and the precision and flexible schedule necessary to maximize my SSE slots, 2A Zone is the ONLY FFL I would trust to make sure the job gets done.

We received your gun on November 4th and you expected it to be DROSed immediately in the busiest time of year with SSE coming to an end. I spoke with you 2 days ago and informed you that we can see if we can try and squeeze you in but I need to see how many people pickup this weekend and if someone doesn't mind being pushed back to squeeze you in. I cannot just put you in front of everyone else because you decided last minute to transfer in 2 pistols and don't have patience. We told you today that we found someone who doesn't mind waiting another week so we will DROS you in roughly 5 days.

I never told you we were too busy for you, we told you we do not have any SSE kits available. I guess for you that was not good enough so you continued to calls us 13 times within 30 minutes trying to get an update today and voice your dissatisfaction and discontent.

We will be happy to ship your gun but you will need to pay shipping and the transfer fee.

Sorry but to ship a gun to us in November and expect to be DROSed immediately wasn't possible when thousands of people are doing the same in this state. Of course we will not retaliate, that is just childish and insulting to assume.

OP posted his rant here. The next page would have been people screaming for him to out the FFL. Baboosh was correct to squash this before it became more of an issue.

What happens when people post anything about a shop? You get 10 post of people asking who the FFL is. I have no issue discussing issues people have out in the open, good or bad and I'll always own up to failures and downfalls. We're not perfect.

We did return his calls, and spoke with him multiple times before and after his post was made. We explained all this to him multiple times, even two separate times before he transferred his gun here. We explained that it is a first come first serve for transfer. I personally explained this to him Friday after my wife explained to him just hours before and I told him I'll see if I can bump him up due to his circumstances. My wife even told him this morning when she spoke to him that it'll be about 5 days, this was around 11am.

Im sorry if i was impatient. I hope theres no hard feelings. I know (from yelp and here) that you guys are nice people with excelent customer service. I just wish that theres no end to sse. Thank you and sorry for the inconvinience.
