I'm officially an owner of a CA compliant M&P shield....

Sill not sure how I feel about this... I love the shield, but the LCI, Mag disconnect... I'm still not sure how I feel about that....

dooooooood, you shoulda got an xds. no mag disconnect. no safety. way better trigger. comes with 5 or 6 mags that are expensive. fit and finish is super clean. comes with holster, 2 mag carriers. stock fiber optic sights. interchangeable backstrap. barely there LCI, picatinny rail on the front if you want it, soft shooting even with +p, no bigger than the shield, smaller in some dimensions actually, but feels more sturdy and well built.

plus the grip safety is kinda nice for reholstering a tiny gun into a tiny iwb holster...

You're right, it does feel much better. And you get some cool stuff included.

I'm sure it has something to do with me being tarnished by Glock from the get go.

I know I'm the only guy on the CalGuns forum who will say this, but I like the LCI and magazine safety. I find the LCI convenient, and I like being able to make a gun safe by taking the magazine out. So if I was you, I wouldn't let these features bother you.

Disclaimer: this preference does not mean that I like how our government forces it on us. Some people don't want those features, and they shouldn't be forced to have them.

A gun is safe based on your finger and your brain... If you rely on a "feature" you will never be someone who is safe with guns.

they made changes to the trigger that are not the same as the recall mods that the new ones are shipping with. the new triggers are very nice. ive felt a few, and they have clean breaks like glocks.

i think the full sized xd and xdms are hideous abortions of nature. the xds is sweet goodness tho.
