    Shield remorse.. Wait maybe not..

Muscle memory. I don't want her to get in the habit of short cycling the slide. Pull and release the slide with authority otherwise if there's ever a problem one always reverts back to their training. Just my humble opinion of the slide lock. I'm sure it has it's place, just not my idea of the way it should be.

      Wow, I'm impressed
The shield isn't the only gun with a mag disconnect.
I have shot my shield in 3 gun, etc. When I do, my focus is more
on proficiency in draw, mag change, and general performance as opposed to time.
It is one of my ccw sidearms and nothing improves you more than working under pressure.
I also learn more about the guns ideosyncracies, of any.

Ah, yes of course. Dry firing. Silly me.

I'm hard in the habit of bringing the slide back just enough to reset for dry fire.

I understand the Shield has a tighter spring though, and there's habit building there. I do it in a different way than I do when life firing to try and mitigate that.

I can understand removing the mag safety there.

I bought from them and live in OC. You are exactly correct on the travel times. It once took me 2.5 hours one way to travel back from there.

That being said, I really liked the Shield 9mm I bought from them. They are nice people and get you in and out of their house quickly.

Enjoy today for tomorrow may never come.. Harley
