It's probably because of the 10 round magazines. Despite upgrading from the 2183 follow to the 9mm3 follower, the reduced capacity magazines have a whole host of issues for malfunctions.

I have been involved in two tests of Glock reduced capacity 10 rd G17/G19 mags using both the stock #2183-2 follower, as well as the Glock OEM #3 follower. In both cases the reduced capacity magazines did NOT prove reliable and had significantly higher malfunction rates than the standard capacity OEM Glock 17 & 15 rd magazines used as controls.
Perhaps that is why at my recent Glock Armorer re-certification class the Glock trainer specifically stated to NEVER use Glock 10 rd reduced capacity magazines for LE duty use, as they were not considered reliable enough...
