"I better get those. The 2183 was jam o matic on hollowpoints. 9mm3 jams on usually round 4-5 so with 5 or 6 left in the mag with hollowpoints. Will need to try 9mm6, at this point I can not recommend a neutered glock 19."

I had the 2183 issues so Glock sent me the 9mm3 followers as a fix. Those were even worse than the 2183's. The 9mm3's hung up on every 4th-6th round on every magazine I loaded out of 100 rounds of 115 grain Federal Premium FMJ, 100 rounds of 15 grain Winchester WB FMJ as well as 50 rounds of Golden Saber 124 +P.

I called Glock back again today and they had me ship my Gen3 G19 and my 3 Gen4 10 round mags to them. All I know is, they better fix this crap. They know it's a design flaw on their end with converting Gen4 standard cap mags to conform to CA limited 10 round mag laws. It's cutting corners on a product that is utilized to protect lives. This design flaw does the opposite.

I have already spent $100 putting some Mepro's on my G19 and I don't want to have to sell it at a loss.

FYI, both my Gen3 G23's (one made in 2001 and the other in 2012) have had ZERO failures after thousands of rounds.

At this stage I would much rather have a ppq or vp9 vs a glock

this is pretty frustrating to receive a product from the factory that is unable to perform it's only duty without fail. glad I didnt order the 9mm3 followers.

Will do. I am beyond PO'd on this one. I'm just not convinced that they can fix the problem, short of actually engineering 10 round mags specifically for the G19. Instead of modifying the standard capacity G19 mags, they need to make the actual internal steel mag dimensions to be more narrow instead of adding the ribs on the standard cap G19 mags. They could do this and just mold more plastic around the new narrower steel mag; thus not changing the external dimensions of the mag itself. This would allow for proper seating of the 10 round spring and followers, leaving no "wiggle" room, which is causing the problems.

I'm not an engineer, and even I know this. Glock has had knowledge of this issue as far back as 2004, mainly with the G19, but sometimes with the G17 as well.

I don't know why they would do this to their customers. As I already stated, we use these to protect our lives and our families' lives. This is EXTREMELY negligent on Glock's part and could potentially lead to someone losing their life and causing Glock big legal troubles.

They better not send mine back to me and say it functioned "to specs" and then have it fail on me again. I will be done with Glock forever after my 15 year love affair.

They are Free? I thought they only sent out 9mm3?

I received my 9mm3 from Glock no charge and I agree with Nitegoat that they are even worse than the stock 2183. I've read from a few members here on CG that they do not send out the 9mm6 followers, so I didn't bother requesting them from Glock..

I went ahead and ordered 10 9mm6 followers through Glockmeister at 3$ each plus shipping.

I have not had the chance to test them out at the range yet.

Strange. When I called to have the 2183's replaced with the 9mm3's, I asked the tech guy in the off chance the 9mm3's don't fix my problem would they send me some #6's? He flat out told me "NO.".

So when I called on Monday and asked for the #6's, they still refused and only gave me the option of sending them my G19. So, we shall see what happens in a couple of weeks.

                          UPDATE

So, I got my G19 back yesterday, and guess what? The C-suckers at Glock didn't fix a damn thing. Not only did they ignore the letter I enclosed with my gun, they took out the better functioning 2183 followers and put back in the worse functioning 9mm3 followers. Then, they kept my 2183 followers and didn't send them back to me. There was no description as to what they did to my gun or how it was tested (if at all). I. AM. LIVID. The 9mm3 followers still FTF on every 5th or 6th round in every one of my 3 magazines with both ball and JHP ammo. Time to sell this gun, if anyone will buy it. I will NEVER buy another Glock product as long as I live. Nor will I recommend them to anyone else. They have the absolute WORST customer service. On the warranty form I had to fill out, I requested that they call me to discuss my issues and tell me what exactly they are going to do to try and fix it. They never contacted me once. I also called them the day before yesterday and had to leave a voicemail asking them to call me yesterday to let me know the status of my repair. Not only did they not call me back, FedEx tried to deliver my gun to me yesterday while I wasn't home. Meaning, Glock didn't contact me to let me know they were sending my gun back to me. Bastards didn't even give me a couple of stickers or something for the trouble. I'm assuming they just swapped out the 2183 followers with the 9mm3's without reading my letter or the issues I was having. Because if they read my letter, they would have known that after I swapped out the 2183 followers with the 9mm3 followers they sent me, they would have know that it made the FTF problem worse instead of better. What a bunch of lazy a-holes. Now I have a $600 paperweight. F Glock.

                            ANOTHER UPDATE

I just got off the phone with a supervisor named Shaun Ford who is having me send my G19 back in and he will test my gun personally. He told me if it has one malfunction, that he will replace the gun. He also told me that if he tests it and it has no problems, but I get it back and it still malfunctions, he will replace it.

He stated that the armorer who tested my gun claimed that she shot 60 rounds (30 Magtech FMJ/30 Critical Defense JHP) with both the 2183 and 9mm3 followers without any malfunctions. I called BS on those results with the 9mm3 followers. But, I stated in the letter I enclosed with my gun, that I only had two malfunctions with the 2183 followers out of 100 rounds of FMJ and 30 rounds of JHP. I instructed them to test the 2183 followers with the same amount of ammo, but of course by the armorer's own notes, she did not. She only fired 60 rounds total, not the 130 that I asked.

I told the supervisor that if the armorer shot 60 rounds with the 9mm3's that she most certainly had at least 6 malfunctions. He also offered me some night sights to offset the cost of the FFL transfer fee if he needs to replace my gun. He said he wants happy customers and doesn't want me to own a gun that does not function for me. So, we shall see. I guess it's another two week wait. The supervisor said he is going to call me as soon as my gun arrives there tomorrow morning. I have a feeling they're going to be giving me a new gun and an extra set of night sights.

                              UPDATE #3

So, I waited all day for Shaun Ford (the supervisor I spoke with at Glock yesterday) to call me as he said he would once my gun was delivered this morning. Guess what? No phone call! I checked the FedEx tracking to make sure my gun was delivered, which it was. I called Shaun twice and both calls went to voicemail. I left him two messages and he never called me back. Thye are now closed for business until Monday.

WTF is going on at Glock? I. AM. DONE.

This supervisor had about 7.5 hours to call me today and he did not. Unacceptable. I will never own or recommend another Glock. As far as I'm concerned, they can keep my G19 and send me back my night sights that I paid $100 for, then issue me a full refund for my gun + the FFL transfer fees I had to pay to own the gun. Enough if enough.
