      LMAO

so true, the only reason to buy a 9mm is the first place is because you need 18 rounds to hit anything with your glock in the first place.

i'm a fan of the Sig Sauer P225 9mm with 8+1 single column; i'm a fan of the gun, and live with the 8+1.

Yes, but it's not 10 rounds, unless you can find and buy the $50-$70 Unicorn tear extended mags.

Great little gun BTW, I kinda' regret selling mine.

Yep single stack 10 rd mags can and do work just fine. The HiPoint 995 carbine comes standard with them and some people even run 15 round single stack mags in them with no problem. The 10 round single stack mags I have for the Star M43 also run fine. I don't think making a hi cap single stack mag is a problem from a functional point of view, just not very practical if a pistol were to be designed to fit the whole mag in the grip. The Hi point pistol grip also gets very long with the 10rd mag inserted.

I am an LEO and can buy and use all kinds of guns and magazines. My favorite off duty/CCW handguns are single stack compact/midsize 9mm pistols and 2-3 inch S&W 38/.357 revolvers . I own several of each. I feel very safe being armed that way. Lately my HD guns are an N frame 4 inch revolver and a Wilson Combat tunned Remington 870. I sleep very well at night.

They have started production of the second version (metal base) and it's filtering out. (or so I heard)

Me too. Nice gun (albeit a little big for a single stack) but they're also out of production.

Many folks get too wrapped up in the number of rounds in the magazine when the number of rounds on target is more important. Sure, it's nice to reload less but if I can't overcome the threat in 8 or 9 rounds I have a serious problem that a handgun probably won't solve.

                          I've always wanted a S&W Model 39 and a Walther P38. Both single stack 9mm.

It doesn't seem anyone mentioned that the Smith and Wesson Shield is a single stack 9mm magazine, done so they can shrink the width of the M&P to be more concealable.

I was one of the many that wish Glock had addressed this rather than produce a .380, I'd bet.
