I'm torn between a 4.25" Pro CORE and the 5" version... I have all my holsters set up for my full-sized M&P9, so it almost seems like a no-brainer to just get another 4.25" so I can just use the same rig with the RMR'ed CORE. (Plus, if I really want to go 5" I can just get an aftermarket barrel with or without ports and go for the Pinocchio look. )

Wish there was enough time to get one of each, but alas... should have planned better.

I see KyGunCo has both 4.25" and 5" versions (non-ported Pro model) for about $665 shipped... anyone else know of other good online dealers that ship to CA for SSE/FFL?

edit: Looks like Bud's has the 4.25" in stock for a little less at $625 shipped.

Maybe I should have also gone for he aluminum trigger too. If I pull slightly off center the trigger snags on something, very annoying...
The M&P Pro has been extremely accurate right out of the box. So far Apex has left me disappointed.

        Update:
I got the Apex aluminum trigger installed. That made the big difference overall. Now I can say the difference is night day to the stock trigger. I'm very satisfied.

Keep an eye on grabagun, just picked up a 5" for $585 shipped.

I checked Grabagun a few days back and yeah, they only had the 5" showing up. I'm leaning towards a 4.25" setup now since there doesn't sound like a ton of compelling reasons to go 5" if all my holster rigs are already 4.25" full-sized. Can always either get an extended aftermarket barrel or even a 5" slide to retrofit later if I really want to obsess over it!

Audiophil out of AZ (on these forums) can also get the 4.25", based on my inquiry yesterday... he'll even ship them SSE-configured, if that speeds things up or alleviates the load on your local FFL.

With all the good things I've heard about Phil, I might just go with him once I'm out of 30-day jail for my last huzzah.

I chose 9mm because i don't want to carry yet another caliber.
